I thought the same thing when I heard Shulk only has one arm now.

Currently 13 hours into the DLC story, closing in on the end of it. Still loads to find and upgrade. Managed to max out rex and shulk's skills so they have everything unlocked. Doing that same with one of my healers and then working through the rest. Rex is the best character and I'm using him exclusively to tear through enemies.

And at 17 hours, finished the DLC store expansion and nearly at 100% completion for collections.

Mini review....

It's good

Slightly longer review....

It's more Xenoblade Chronicles 3 but with enough changes and a new cast that keep the game fresh. Music is amazing as always, art design equally as impressive it runs well and the draw distance and size of some of the enemies is breathtaking.

The new way to get ability points to get skills is really well done as it rewards exploring, finding secrets, defeating super bosses and collecting everything.

I'd highly recommend the DLC as it's probably 20 hours to find everything. Not a boring wasted minute, just pure Xenoblade fun.

I was level 65 when I finished the game. Some super bosses are level 100.… So it's going to take a while to level up.

Question for those who've played the DLC, ending spoilers for the main game:
I really didn't like the whole 'GIGACHAD REX' thing at all. Nia was my favourite character from XC2, and it was immensely disappointing to see her relegated to the third-favourite of the harem. I know some people have been trying to call it poly representation, but without any sign that anybody in the four is into anyone but Rex and no other men in there, I definitely fall harder on the 'male wish fulfilment' angle. In general I found it a bit nauseating.

My question is, how does the DLC deal with this? Or does it ignore this angle entirely?

Thanks in advance!

For Nia? No. Also was quite disappointing to see at the end of 3, which has a completely different (infinitely better) tone up to that point.

:fp: Nia. The existence of a Nia, a Noah, and a Mio has confused me greatly here.

So did I! I got it with the two lasses with enormous chests, and indeed most of the other Blades. And specific not with Nia. Not until she had the crotch cutaway Blade outfit at the end at least.

yeah, the only female character to stay fully dressed in that game, morag, gets described as dressing like a man

You're onto the last chapter!

I've just made a start on the DLC this morning, really good opening to it so I'm eager to play more of this and try and get it done before TotK comes out a week today. I had however forgotten how quickly XC3 saps my Switch's battery though

Edit, got to the point last night where I met Shulk briefly. Was hoping to get a bit more time into it today but as of yet I've not had the time.

Anyone else finding the story DLC a little glitchy? At what feels like the first proper boss fight and struggling, mainly as the rest of my party just refuse to attack :fp: Managed to get through phase one by letting them all get killed and restarting the fight, done that 3 times for the second stage now and no luck....

Finished in time for Zelda. That boss battle just goes on and on :shifty:

Is the DLC good?
