There's plenty of memeable material in there ("I used my thinking muscles for this one!", I'm the girl with the gall!" etc.) but I think the battle dialogue is a bit of a step down from 2/Torna - you got more variety in the post battle comments in those games, with unique interactions depending on who was in your party etc. as well as some surprisingly in depth post battle discussions that went back and forth quite a bit. Here's it's just the same two line interactions over and over and over and over

Stalled on this a bit now, death by side quest might have ended me. :dread:

I felt like I was getting to the point of stalling on it, which is why I just powered on with the main quest. Not like I didn’t get value for money from it! About £45 for 123 hours is very decent.

Had another thought where the story DLC could go as well,

We see our 6 characters become Moebius and see how their version of their own perfect world works out. I’d prefer a post game one with the ending we got though, just to see them meet up again.

I really want post game DLC with them regaining their memories of the game events and meeting up again.

To me the ending we got was uncharacteristically downbeat/bittersweet compared to 1 and 2. Especially when you consider that basically every person from the City just got outright wiped from existence since they were just descended from people from the original worlds, but themselves never existed there.

perhaps the dlc story will reveal that the city survived as another world

That would be awesome. Maybe the city folk were able to survive from inside of Origin or something like that would make sense.

Just did another side quest at one of the Colony's and about 4 more discussion points appeared off the back of it. :dread:

There's a cracking game here but its pacing and distribution of content is absolutely strawberry floated

I wouldn't worry about the side quests if you are getting burnt out from them. Just plow on with the main quest.

I know, I need to ditch the completionist approach!

But I feel like if the content is there it should be good enough and delivered in a way that doesn't feel so top heavy and dragging down the late game experience

I can understand not getting Exp from the Challenge battles, but it kinda sucks to not get CP from them.

These Hero Quests are so variable in quality, doing the Inhumanity one at the moment and my word it's tedious :dread:

They just watched the Queen almost get killed because of their own ineptitude, she just about managed to survive to help them, then they all just strawberry float off and leave her all alone in her cloud castle where the enemy know she is and could just come kill her again!

My god these people are idiots! :fp:

I'm now on the final chapter of this. Absolutely loved it. Gonna spend a bit of time grinding through levels so that I'm very prepared for the final end. While I won't have done all the side content and stuff, I'm happy with the time I've spent on it.

I absolutely loved it. The only issues I had with it were of a technical nature and the odd instance of 'needed better translation'.

And so the story is complete. What an ending. A great close to a great game.

Just absolutely lovely, overall. Should perhaps have made sure to keep returning to playing it rather than other stuff, but... third of the year to see the end is better than never.
