Argos price is now up to £49.99, if you reserved for store collect but didn't pay in advance then you won't be getting it for £30 today.

Literally took me a few minutes to figure out how to get into the LE. It's actually cool the way it opens up. I downloaded the Japanese voice pack (seemed to take longer than anything else I've downloaded on the eShop so far), and played through the opening hour and a half, which totally gave me Skies Of Arcadia vibes. Really looking forward to putting some serious hours into it today and the battle system opening up a bit more, along with the game world.

I've just picked up my collectors edition from the Post Office. The box is blooming massive. I know how I'm spending my two night shifts now.

Monolith Soft have come a LONG way from XBC with their facial animations. Much more able to imbue authentic looking emotional expressions. Perhaps that's also partly due to the art style shift too. The series of action sequences after Rex acquires his blade is sublime, on a completely different level to anything I've seen from them before, and from most modern JRPGs. Loving it so far, sadly only 5 hours in. One of my companions disappeared and I decided to salvage and got owned by three enemies and my boxes all vanished by the time I made it back. That level 80+ gorrilla one shot me on the way into Torigoth. Which reminded me a LOT of playing the original for the first time. Ah Xenoblade.

This works out at about £37 if you get it from the South African eShop, which is something I may just have done... :slol:

That bloody voice acting. It's horrendous. Not normally one for Japanese voice packs but it'll surely be better than what I've heard so far.

I was reading the e-mail they sent me for playing this, and noticed the new story content for the Expansion Pass doesn't arrive until Autumn 2018 . Seems a bit of a long wait. Definitely going to pick it up though. I assume it'll be something substantial if it's going to take that long. I hope so for £26.99.

After the core tutorial where it mentions to think about the Blade you want and it might appear, every time I get a core: 'KOS-MOS, KOS-MOS, KOS-MOS'. Never happened.

The Japanese pack certainly sounds like the voice acting is high quality, and it doesn't really annoy with the repetitive ability shouts during battle.

But, there is dialogue during dungeons that isn't subtitled, so there was at least one occasion so far when I hard a character exclaim something with surprise and I had no idea what they were reacting to.

Not got far enough to critique the voice acting my self but I can never really get very far with Japanese voice overs - huge generalisation here but in my experience the Japanese voice actors range seems to include "serious breathy whisper" and "OTT shrieking / screaming" and very little in between.

It's the Nopon which did it for me. If I hadn't played Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii, it probably wouldn't be a problem. I might dabble with the English voice acting later, just to see if it improves but I'm unimpressed so far. I think it's the accents....

This is the most anime game I've ever played (including BlazBlue Centralfiction). The closet full of maid outfits

Finally managed to find time to start this today. Xenoblade is back, I already know I’m going to love it   The special edition has a really cracking art book, but the box is sooo big I don’t know where I’ll store it yet.

Love the welsh accent of Nia too.
