Im looking forward to Jawa watching the opening cut scene and then never touching the game again.

Amazon has seemingly let me down. Gutted.

I'm getting a reputation for not playing games . Last year I sorted myself out and focused on one or two titles at a time, but this year I have reverted to flitting about and not sticking with stuff.

To be honest, I probably won't play this much yet because I should play the prequels first. Which I can't do until I have caught up on other games... I need to get a grip on this.

Did anyone else order from Amazon? I just noticed that my copy hasn't even shipped yet!

Very tempting at the Argos price. But I couldn't get into the first one at all so I'm being sensible and passing.

At that price, you could probably buy it, try it, and if you didn't like it, sell it within a week or two without making a loss.

Jawa, I'm gonna play this and I've not played the prequels. Why do you need to? It's an almost totally standalone story.

The story is standalone, I don't really think they are "prequels" persay.

I'm going to be going in new too.

Guys, you’re right - I’m putting up barriers that don’t need to be there. Just play whatever games you want, it’s no big deal .

I did (Collectors ed) and I have it here with me. I'm at work though

It's a big box though. I was not expecting it to be that size. it's about as big as Hyrule Historia

Dude, don't buy it, give Stardew the love and time it deserves.

Tempted by this (especially at that Argos price...) but struggling to get a handle on what to expect having never played the others. Can someone in the know give me a frame of reference - is there anything similar to it gameplay wise? I've played my fair share of JRPG's back in the day but not really touched the genre since the PS1 days.

I wasn't trying to push you around, just seems a shame that you miss out on great games sometimes because you feel this "I didn't play the previous one" anxiety. I just want my good pal Jawa to have the best possible gaming experiences

I have got it ... just gotta now decide on two to four games to focus on rather than thinking I can tackle about ten games at once. I'm getting my head into the mode of "less is more" .

Amazon didn't let me down after all. Just arrived now. Mustn't have been out for delivery until after 4pm, which is very unusual. I guess it's that time of the year. It's even bigger than the Fire Emblem Echoes LE. No idea where I'm going to put it. All my little Switch games will look silly next to it.

Collecting mine tomorrow morning. I'm currently playing stick of truth on PS4 but this is starting to look like the game I play until Mario Odyssey on Christmas day. Nintendo winning Christmas again.

Damn this is amazing.
