Hopefully an option for Japanese too

Really hoping for this, those English voices are atrocious.

Really? The va itself sounds good - it's the complete lack of lip sync and mismatch with the character design that I think lets it down.

The lip syncing and voice acting seem atrocious, I think that video from last night put me off this game for life.

When is the special edition likely to go up for sale on Amazon?
Same with the Mario Switch Bundle and the XBC2 pro pad?

The lip sync will be for the Japanese voices. Was the same for the first game. But then in Bloodborne all the characters talk with their mouths shut so........ :D

This bothers me more. Its the kiddie looking characters that sound far too old.

Xenoblade X barely even had what you could call lipsynch. This looks at least more expressive.

This is a better way of handling it imo.

If you're not going to make any changes to the lip-sync then subs are way preferable to dubs.

Voices important in battle system though.

Now that I've seen the new trailer, I can agree that the lip-syncing looks terrible but I like the trailer overall and only one voice wasn't very good (I forget whose voice). The trailer could have done more to attract newcomers, perhaps with some footage of combat, but it's great for keeping me excited about the release date :toot:

They have already shown off combat and frankly it doesn't demo well if your new to it. Much better to talk about the world and story elements. I liked it. Thought it was amusing how they had presented each culture and then basically said BADDIES.

Those battles look like they'd take ages to finish. Anyone know if that's just to demo the combat system?

The Limited Edition is up for pre-order at Game. £79.99 seems a little high, but I'm in, unless I can get it from the Nintendo Store or Amazon. Hopefully it won't be sold out stupidly quickly and abused by scalpers like the Metroid: Samus Returns set, and I'll be able to switch to a preferred retailer. The box does look very swish, and there are 200 pages in the artbook. Can't say I'm a fan of the Steelbook itself.

Hmmn... for around double the cost of the standard version, I’m not too attracted to that edition. Will stick with the basic version.

You'll be able to watch via Nintendo's YouTube channel, official website or Facebook.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is now less than a month away from its worldwide launch, on 1st December.

I’m keen to check this out although I need to start both Chronicles and Chronicles X before I play this... so, realistically, that’s years off! Chronicles 2 looks cool but I am a little unsure about the slightly more anime-styled characters and concerned that the battle control system may - for me - be a bit too complex.

Still, it’ll be good to discover more tomorrow!
