Gravity has no power here.

EDIT: on a side note. is it me or does Newt remind anyone else of Eva Angelina? it's her facial expression that makes me think that.

My god, the voice acting in this game. :dread: :dread: :dread:

Played for an hour before I found the Japanese language pack. I’ll be trying that out when I go back to it tomorrow.

I'm playing this. Finished chapter 2 last night.

It really is just an anime version of the first game. I like the familiarity of the world, the sense of discovery and the battle systems, but the design isn't my cup of tea. It makes the original look like Vagrant Story.

It's scratching my JRPG itch though. I'm enjoying it, whereas I found X to be cold and impersonal. I don't mind the voices either. Not as if we get many games with British regional accents.

Got to the third chapter, but just can’t get into this enough and the map really is awful. My main issue is that I don’t like turn based rpgs and this one wont change my mind! Back to skyrim.

Finished Chapter 7, made it to Chapter 8. Hot diggity damn this game is so damn good. I just had to make one of the hardest choices ever and it wasn't even a bad choice :lol:

This game doesn't stop surprising me. I'm in total love with the whole thing. The Japanese VA cast have been knocking it out of the damn park!

I haven't even bothered doing more of the main story since chapter 5. I spent 3 hours last night just salvaging and upping my star ratings on each titan for those sweet price reductions at the salvage store. Aim to do some core farming in the coming days before getting on with a new chapter.

There's just so much to do and everything feels so rewarding if you put the time in. :wub:

Can anyone explain ideas? I don’t get what they are in game.

The idea categories represent different elements.

Bravery = Fire & Water
Truth = Ice & Wind
Compassion = Electricity & Earth
Justice = Light & Dark

If you have level 7 Bravery but level 3 everything else you're more likely to get a fire or water Blade when you bond with a Core Crystal. Idea Boosters will further increase your odds of getting a certain Blade-type and come in handy when you start going for the rare Blades.

See when you do a level one special, how do you know what level your other characters specials are charged to, so you know when to do it to build. I can tel what element my party’s specials are but not how much they are charged.

You can tell by the amount of orbs circling their portrait next to the button prompt for their special.

Also if you're not sure how the combo tree works you read it from left to right ( it took me a while to realise that :oops: )

I’ve more or less figured it all out, other than how you pop the orbs, although I think I need to unlock the move that works with the plus button to do that I think.

Yeah the plus button is for the chain attack special.

Yeah the plus button is for the chain attack special.

Do you need to unlock it? I’ve had a full bar and pressed plus and nothing happens.

Yeah, it's unlocked during chapter 3.

Even after 4 or 5 chapters the game will still toss something new at you.

The Lone Watchman (available from chapter 10)

Item Pack 3

Tora's favorite thing: 3 Juicy Samods
Poppi's favorite thing: 3 Fizz Juices
Charming Driver Gear: 1 Auto-Balancer accessory

Update: Version Update 1.2.0
Here are the patch notes for version 1.2.0. These, of course, are applied to every copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 without the need of the Expansion Pass.

Version 1.2.0
Fixed an issue in which parts set to a specific Skill RAM failed to provide their intended effects.
Adjusted the Gormott regular quest “The Riddle on the Wall” to make it completable regardless of player progression in the main story.
Adjusted Finch’s Blade Quest “Birds of a Feather” to make it completable regardless of player progression in the main story.
Fixed an issue in Agate’s Blade Quest “Precious Yearnings” preventing quest progression.
Added functionality to allow players to receive the first round of quests and the second round of items associated with the Expansion Pass.
Voiced segments in menus can now be skipped with the A or B button. EDIT: yep you can skip all voice clips in merc quests, item giving and blade dismissal.

Also they edited the soldiers voices during a fight so they don't say "DON'T FORGET ME" and "THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME" any more, they now say TAKE THIS" and "DON'T FORGET"
