Sylvavum is clearly the best continent. Dat music, dem sexy weather effects and skyboxes.

Just a really alien place. It's great.

A thick fog rolled in shortly after getting there and all I could see were the blue gem things. When the fog finally cleared I was in the middle of a purple lake flanked by mountains :datass:

Might buy a 3rd skell for lin to use so all 3 of us can have one (L can save up for his own the strawberry floating freeloader). Without spoiling, do I aquire another soon or am I safe to buy?

Why are you only rolling with a party of 3?

Usually 4, but usually have to drop one for an affinity mission and then forget to add one back.

Fair enough. I rock with Lin, Elma and L most of the time but I'm sure it'll hurt me later when I need to build up affinity on multiple party members I never use. Just too lazy to train them all and upgrade their armour (it stays with them by the way).

Strength comes from experience, and that's true on any planet.

Haha. Elma's full of such useful cliches.

Yeah some of the later missions where you had to level people up to 40 and beyond to start them were a pain, one of the reasons I stopped playing after I completed the story. The revival of this thread has awakened a desire to go back to it though......

Does XP scale, so if I have a level 20 guy with my level 90s, they will shoot up the levels?

Yup, they can rattle through the levels that way. They are a bit of a liability when it comes to the harder enemies but if youre taking on stuff you can handle easily then its a good idea to have them in the team so they can catch up. Theres also a couple of nice spots to do some levelling up once you have a skell, high level beasts that go down pretty easily and give you a bunch of XP.

Yeah that's a tough difficulty spike and I only just did it.

You need to use weapons with augments against humanoids and level up quite significantly.

I got my arse kicked so hard and fast that I thought it was one of those 'get beaten for storytelling purposes'.

He's the Thundercat dude? Yeah that fight is ridiculous, especially when he starts auto healing and unleashing meteors on you. Level up to strawberry float, and as Gecko said Augments. There is one to reduce climate damage, I think that will help against his meteor attack. Bear in it mind that you can equip Augments to your Skell parts, as well as your characters.

You aren't in skells for that fight though.

I'll probably go back at level 45 or something and do some more side stuff for now.

Thats the toughest fight in the whole game, or at least it was for me. It seems intentionally designed to strawberry float you up, they give you a Skell, you get used to it, feel like a badass, then strawberry float you, heres an unstoppable thundercat.

At least the Skell fight straight after is a piece of piss.
