Smaller than usually but the Ikdea deal was too good to pass up.

Currently watching Christmas carolling on Songs of Praise. I’ve had 2 pints already so it’s bearable.

EDIT: okay they’ve now stuck Cliff Richard on, time to turn it off.

Christmas time, Petrol bombs and crime,
Children drinking whiskey and wine,
Santa Claus is a liar, he hates boys and girls,
He comes down the chimney and steals all their toys.

She’s totalled the tree this morning. But I’ll forgive. We’ve got presents under there now too.

Weirdly, Maia(and Loki) couldn't give a gooseberry fool about our tree.

I’ve had to move the presents with ribbon on as she’s eating them. Also sticking claws into soft parcels to rip the paper. And batting line comes about. And jingling bells at all hours of the morning. But she seems happy with her big toy. Shame she’s no eating her strawberry floating advent calendar treats.

It wouldn't be Christmas without the cat destroying the tree at some point.

I have to be very careful when the cat is around, she chews everything and the tree is no exception.

Here's ours. We've had to go fake this year: the last few real ones have all shed like mutha floaters. Pleased with it though.

Haven't had chance to set up the Lego winter village yet: will probably do that this weekend.

Added a couple of extra decorations to mine today, including one of those packs of mickey mouse baubles from Primark.

Did most of my Christmas shopping over the weekend and wrapped it all yesterday. For me that is pretty impressive, I am usually buying on Christmas Eve and quickly wrapping on Christmas morning.

I still have to get something for my wife though so my traditional panic wrap on Christmas Day may still be happening.

I’ve just about done Christmas shopping as well, just got another couple of small bits to think of.

Got all my wrapping done last night, the Xmas goodies are stocked and awaiting consumption, just need to pick up some veg and other perishables this weekend and we are all set. :toot:

One of our cats has taken to drinking the water out of the christmas tree pot. Which is odd because they don't usually drink much. Must be the vague piney, bleach notes to it.
