Heard a Christmas song yesterday that I didn't recognise and thought, that's quite a fun Christmas song, why isn't that played more? Looked it up, it's by Gary Glitter. Oh right. That's why then.

Yep. Catchy tune as well isn't it?

I imagine lots of Xmas compilation CDs ended up on the scrapheap because of him!

Holy Moly, this is the first time going into this thread, it's amazing

I have a question, how many of you get fake Christmas trees? The wife is insisting we get one because real ones have bugs and can cause people to have allergies, I want a real one, because it's Christmas and having a plastic tree just seems sad to me. :dread:

I have one, spend alot on it (was somewhere around £100 think, but it is a really good one so doesn't look overly fake and after 7 years it is going super strong.

We had a real one for the first year after we moved out it was a shitting nightmare so instead went fake and it's awesome.

I bought a small real one from Sainsburys last year and incredibly it’s still alive (I stuck it in the garden) and is proceeding to grow quite well.

That real Christmas tree smell is something I will always associate with Christmas. I do miss it, but it's not worth the mess a real tree creates.

I got an artificial one for about 20 quid. There's a lot of empty space without decorations. I would suggest paying more money.

Yesterday I've tided up my room and finally put up my wee christmas tree up. Now I feel it's Christmas more than ever.

Doing christmas shopping - or rather, planning in advance so I can buy it when funds comes in.

The state of those curtains, hanging off The end like that.

Tree has too much density at the bottom and not enough at the top, touching radiator 3/10 would not festive again

That cuts me deep. I can do better I promise, just give me another chance!

To be fair it's a work in progress! In all honesty I hadn't noticed the curtain situation, must have knocked it during the installation process. :fp:

Touching radiator is unavoidable given the size, and it's basically a crime to cut back a real.tree in my book - these bad boys are supposed to flare out at the bottom unlike their inferior fake equivalents which are practically a straight cylinder!
