*super serious thing going on in world of Japanese mafia which needs sorting out right now* But first lemme sort this kid out with some top shelf mags  They offer a great change of pace from the otherwise super serious stuff.

It's much the quicker game... main story should be doable in around 16 hours.

I did a full Sidequest, fully levelled up run of Kiwami on Legend difficulty in 37 hours. Sounds like a lot but Yakuza 5 for a similar run was at least 90+

Did you do the one with the vending machine?

One my favourite things about Y0 was the whole peeking from behind a wall thing

Played the first 30 minutes of this this morning before work. Was mostly cut-scenes but enjoyable nonetheless, managed to get a bit of actual gameplay in, including the awesome karaoke  8-)

Annoyingly though I thought the game would have an autosave function so switched off my PS4 to head to work...nope! Gonna have to replay all of that again. Ah well, at least I'll know what to expect.

No autosave but, if I am recalling correctly, unlike previous Yakuza games, you are not limited to saving at phone boxes. (There's a manual save game option somewhere in the pause menu.)

I'll look out for it, thanks SoK.

Isn't the manual save in the options just in Kiwami not 0 because there's no mobile phones? If I completed 0 and missed that :dread:

Aye, just reinstalled 0 to double check: no pause screen save. Apologies for the mix up!

I started playing this a couple of weeks ago (bought it on release); thought it was about time I played the series.
I've had a blast so far (I'm up to Chapter 5) but a side quest involving getting hold of two fish and a turtle really irritated me. First I wandered into every shop with no luck. Then I worked out how I was supposed to get them, and it took ages.

Other than that, it's been compelling, and bonkers at times, stuff. More tonight once the kids are asleep.

Right I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but so far I’ve not been able to get into any of the mini game places like the arcade or darts/pool hall, it doesn’t give me an option to enter. I’ve tried both at night and during the day but the camera just pans out a bit to show the building and then... nothing. Any ideas?

How far into the game are you? From memory I think you have to complete the first couple of chapters before you can do some of the side quests and mini games.

Ah that’ll be it then, I’m still in chapter 1 but have done a few missions, guess I’ll have to do a bit more story! Cheers

Yeah you can't do actual free-roam until chapter 2 and even then some major gameplay mechanics are locked away until you do more story.

Working on beating the real estate storyline 100% before I move on. These games are packed to the brim with content. How on earth I'm gonna do kiwami and 6i have no idea.
