Playing as Haruka is a goddamn revelation. :D

I honestly never thought I'd enjoy it this much. But then I get into a dance battle with another girl in the street and it's the best game ever.

strawberry float me the idol business is creepy though. Handshake events, seriously? :slol:

The car controls in this  :dread: I have to keep pressing accelerator to accelerate?! Which genius came up with that idea?!

edit: That computer "mission" in taxi office

:fp: :( Gotta restart the game. Game was in middle of saving when PS3 crashed and I lost the only game save. Worst of it is I have PS+ but hadn't activated automatic game save uploads (nor had I made a duplicate save :fp:) on this console. If I had done, all I'd have lost is an hour of this morning's play. I was only on chapter 2, and not even that deep into it but... ngh!

Gah! Worth it though. And Nakajima is one of my favourite NPCs in *ages*. That computer mission.

Mrs Hirakawa.

Started it again earlier today. Thank floop for skippable cutscenes and skipping text with R1+X.

One plus is that I found a side mission (found it during day, very close to where the guy asks you to play shogi against him) which offered the teeniest insight into why Kaz is there.
Still miffed about losing all those gained abilities and the levelled up cab. :x

That kid in the red flannel top  All those free moves! (And you can just stay there, learning one after another!) Well, I say "free," I am now out of HP drinks.

I think Kaz wants to tell us something...

Mission info on taxi mission On the other Side: This man sounded effeminate on the phone. I see quite a few men like that at the bar I frequent.

Loving the conversation taxi missions as it's pretty much just a text based Agony Uncle mini-game.

I met that Watase guy for the first time. He's freaking nuts! At first he looked like a scary but conniving strawberry float, but when he started desperately pleading with Kazuma I just burst out laughing.

Part 1 done.

I *love* the fact I knew the restaurant they exit at the start of Part 2. Its location, too.

When I first read this, I thought rudderless must be exaggerating with all the lols. HE IS NOT. That bit Banjo mentioned is just freaking amazing. If he's that funny with the rest of his accompaniments then I really hope I get to take someone to karaoke along with him. This could extend my time on the game by a day, at the very least.

I'm onto the Finale now, just making the rounds with each character to complete as much side content as possible. Up to about 58% completion, so close to doing all of the Heat Actions.

The game is fantastic, but I honestly think 4 is the better game. This is almost too sprawling, with the sheer amount of content becoming borderline unmanageable (and unfortunately some of it just isn't as compelling as stuff in previous games). 4 really benefits from a tight structure and the focus on Kamurocho as a sole location really lets them build on it, in 5 you're just thrown into 5 locations (3 of them being completely new to the series) and there isn't as much time devoted to really establish the personalities of these locales.

2 is split between Sotenbori and Kamurocho and the narrative does a fine job of connecting them by the simple nature of one being Omi-controlled and the other Tojo. 3 (though I know some don't feel the same) did the right move in having those opening chapters be deliberately slow to truly establish Okinawa as an idyllic place compared to crime-ridden Kamurocho. In this game the settings don't get enough time to shine; they do admittedly have great unique qualities (the snow in Tsukimino is lovely) but returning to Kamurocho in the finale really shows these new places up. It's bustling with life and activity in a way the others aren't. This may also be deliberate but in future I think the series should stick to less locations and make them more exploarable/interactable.

Still a goddamn great game though.

71.

You'll know when you need it.

What comes after:

Oh and, I *really* hate how that map is broken up in some places, allowing players only to cross the road from specific sections.

:dread: :dread: :dread: What about that 'Sensual Magazine' interview?!

I proper ballsed up the darts and pool. Pool was just me being crap but the darts... let me customise the darts, dammit! When I played with Kazuma, and altered the darts, I was so much better but the default ones are awful. They really could go anywhere. :fp:
