Yanny or Laurel?

I turned the volume up and can now hear both at the same time, I seem to be getting Yanny from one speaker and Laurel from the other one.

I wonder if your brain occasionally switches between which ear is the dominant one, that'd explain why sometimes you hear Yanny and sometimes hear Laurel, I reckon I'm hearing both because I'm listening through speakers and both ears hear both left and right sound channels.

When I load the video on page one, I stare at one of the words in the video screen and whichever word I stare at, I hear.

For something so dumb it's actually turned out to be quite fascinating. So to expand on Karl's theory, let's test peoples hearing.

I was a definite "Yanny" (who the hell can hear 'Laurel'?) , then both. Now "Laurel" only.

That test didn't work properly for me, but I generated some tones in Audacity and I can hear up to 17.5 kHz. I hear Yanny.

(If I really concentrate on the lower tones I can hear 'Yanny' and 'Laurel' at the same time...)

I heard Yanny for about twenty seconds yesterday while I was boiling a kettle. Otherwise it's always Laurel. strawberry floating weird, man.

It's changed for me now. I gave it an hour last night from the first time watching it and could only hear yanny.

My missus said Laurel. Then Yammy (not Yanny). Now reckons it's Laurel again.

It was yanny the first time I played and now laurel every time. I think my brain must have filtered out the other part after the first play.

Hmm, first time I heard that it said Yanny in a high pitched voice, now it sounds like Laurel in a lower pitch.

I could only hear Laurel but chucked on some headphones, cranked up the volume and a strawberry floating advert came on so I can't hear much of anything.

If you can hear Yanny from that there is something seriously.wrong with you.
