TheDX are abysmal. Recently got something delivered and missed it. So we call up and arrange delivery for a set day and it didn't turn up. Instead it turned up the day after the agreed day. 3 days after it arrived we get a letter through the normal post saying that they weren't able to deliver it on the original day. :|

strawberry float strawberry float strawberry float, just ordered a new power supply through dabs.com, with saturday delivery, only to see in the delivery info that they are using strawberry floating Yodel. Great, I have literally just thrown away £60. It'll never get here, I strawberry floating guarantee.

Ordered a book from Amazon the other day delivered by Yodel, the delivery guy came just as I stepped out of the shower. Took me about 10 seconds to whip a towel on and go downstairs to see him forcing the parcel through the letterbox and not giving a gooseberry fool about it being signed for :fp:

Yodel is pretty good where I live. Fast delivery and polite driver. Only thing is he lost his touchscreen pen thing and gives me his car key to sign the ipad thing lol :fp:

As I live in a cul-de-sac, any driver who can't be bothered to deliver something will have to turn round at the end, where I live. I'm going to have to sit looking out the window all day, windows open to hear anything coming, shoes on in case I need to run down the road after them and stand in front of the van until they do their strawberry floating job. I had forgotten the golden rule of "check a website's couriers BEFORE ordering". I will gladly pay more for something to avoid using these strawberry floating jokers ever again.

UPDATE: My PSU is now at the infamous Ashton Service Centre, a black hole into which packages disappear and are never seen again. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Oh sweet my copies of A Dance With Dragons part 1 and 2 have been dispatched by amazon a day early, but what's this:

We are writing to let you know that the following items have been sent
to:

*address*

using Yodel.

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I'll be lucky to get them by Friday (as yodel seemingly don't deliver on weekends) and Monday I'm out. All I need now is for the weather to be rain and I'm set for the mother of all shitty yodel deliveries. I even try to edit my amazon orders now so they won't be heavy/big enough to be sent via yodel, seems I messed up on this one. :fp: If this is another shitty delivery I'm actually going to tell amazon they've lost my future custom until they give up on yodel. Complained 3 times now, the most I've got is "we will send them a query". :fp:

We had a man from Yodel deliver a parcel the other day.

I was sleeping at the time, so was a little slow to react, but he was very nice indeed. Knocked again, and said that he "hates if if people don't get their goodies", and was very pleasant. (Y)

Just remembered about the Home Delivery Network courier I had the other week. Saw the van pull up, the guy got the parcel out the back and ran full pelt along the path, into my garden, up to the door, shoved the parcel through the letter box without even knocking to get me to sign for it and sprints away again :|

Glad to see people besides myself have had positive Yodel experiences.

Have to admit, I've never had a problem with Yodel either.

Sounds to me like they are scared. Have they found out about the last delivery driver that you drugged, raped and murdered?

They're on Watchdog tonight (which is on now, but the Yodel bit hasn't started yet). Something to do with someone recording them delivering their Xbox.

Can you post a summary of what was said when it's done?

I used Yodel recently to return a 42" television. It went very smoothly. Yodel.

Disappointing. A handful of Yodel complaints, some CCTV footage of drivers stealing packages and throwing parcels over fences, and a statement from Yodel read by Watchdog saying 'we deliver a gooseberry fool load of stuff everyday and sometimes mistakes are made. We ensure that are drivers are trained to high standards blah blah blah...'.

Yeah this. Was hoping for some sort of statement from like amazon or O2 or anyone that uses that as to why they continue to use them in the face of mass complaints. Was hoping there would be some mention of the pages of complaints on amazon's website as well. Looks like they're just going to continue to get away with their shoddy service.

I am tempting fate here but I might have a positive Yodel story incoming.

I have a delivery due this week and received an email earlier telling me that they had attempted delivery and were sorry to have missed me. The email went on to give me the couriers mobile number and said I should ring them to speed delivery up.

I rang and the woman (yes a woman driver :x ) said she couldn’t come back to me as she was now in a different area. I said that was fine as I wouldn’t be home until just after 5 and she said she would deliver my parcel around 5.30pm.

If she turns up then I think that is great service and I will forgive them their previous shitty service, I have never known a delivery company email you about a missed delivery before!
