DPD related bullshit this time. 'Item will be delivered between 12:37pm and 1:37pm'. Time comes and goes. Nothing. Check tracking again. 'Item will be delivered between 6am and 10pm.'

strawberry float off.

I think I'm gonna start tipping Amazon logistic couriers. My Prime order arrived at around 8-9 PM last night (the guy said he still had a few more to go!) and I doubt he's being paid overtime. I've got another one due today and, if it's another late one, then I'm definitely gonna give him a couple of quid.

I don't know who Dyson use, but I was promised my new vacuum before 12pm and it hasn't turned up. No tracking information either. How thoroughly gooseberry fool.

I got an email while at work today telling me that "Your parcel has been delivered to a safe place". Great. :toot:

Get home to see this huge box on the front door step, available for anybody to see and potentially steal. :fp: It must have been there for around 6 hours like that given the time of the email, if not longer. Good thing I have decent neighbours/live in a nice area.

Tempted not to use the shop again though if they're going to use Yodel - so gooseberry fool. :dread: :fp:

My Hermes? More like my banana split.

Ordered some stuff to be delivered today as it's the only one we could guarantee to be in due to work. Supposed to be delivered between 11-12, which was ideal so we could go out in the afternoon. We've waited by the door all day, literally as our living room door is right by the front door and nothing. Just had a thing come on the phone saying delivery was attempted at 5pm.

I just sought out this thread to say that I have two packages on the way from My Hermes, and this is the first thing I read. :dread:

Is there a website that lists which delivery companies different sites use? Would be a good way of avoiding the worst offenders. Royal Mail seems to be the only one that delivers with any reliability for me. Annoying though when you buy off eBay and they actively choose to go with these strawberry floats. :x

I'm not aware of any websites that list the delivery options or let you choose. Which is a shame, it would be easy to put the gooseberry fool companies out of business (I am looking at you My Hermes and Yodel :x ) if consumers had the choice.

Amazon Logistics actually seem to be doing a decent job at the moment. My last few deliveries have been through them and everything has arrived on time.

MyHermes are by far the worst courier I've ever had experience with. Yodel are brilliant by comparison.

Yodel attempted delivery at 745am! I was bathroom-occupied. But they had instructions to leave the parcel in the unlocked garage. There was even a sign on the garage door for them.

Card through the door. Failed delivery. FFS.

Where Hermes are good though is for cheaply having to send an item back to a company when the postage isn't prepaid. Far cheaper than the post office, never had a problem with the them for that purpose.

MyHermes people are all self employed, really anyone with a car could so it. They tend to cover a certain area. I have this nice ginger beard bloke who is always polite. So if it's good a few times you'll probably get the same person, if it's bad don't use them again.
