Sounds like you should get a porch.

Amazon have let me down, bought a couple of Switch accessories (case and screen protector) and they were due to arrive on the 13th. Everything looked good on the tracking, they were to be delivered before 9pm. It was only at 8:55pm on delivery day that the tracking changed to "Now expected 13 Oct - 19 Oct". Today is the 19th and still no sign of my order and there's no change to the tracking info - if it's not here this evening it'll be refund time!

Particularly annoying as it's meant my Switch has been stuck at home.

You may want to consider letting Amazon’s delivery guys have free access to your house for deliveries, Garth.

They could walk in whenever they want :toot: .

My mum got a delivery from Currys today delivered by DPD.
As the delivery guy was holding the package out he started to turn to leave and just let go of it, assuming my mum had grabbed it when she hadn't, so the package fell straight onto the hardwood floor. The delivery guys reaction was to just laugh. When my mum said "I hope that's not broken" he just responded with a shrug and said "Well you're the one who dropped it" and walked off.

strawberry floating disgraceful, I'll be making a complaint to Currys tomorrow and saying we want these things swapped or collected for a refund. The package was 2 Echo Dots and they just came in a plastic film envelope, not a box with additional padding or anything, so there's absolutely no guarantee of the contents not having some long term damage. They're Christmas presents as well so it's not like we can really open them up to give them a check over.

DPD used to be one of the few good couriers left but they really seem to have gone to gooseberry fool lately.

They're often contractors, if you tell DPD they will probably have a word. And they tend to work in the same area, so you'll probably get them again.

Amazon app now has a similar thing to DPD that lets you track the Amazon Logistics delivery on the map and how many deliveries are left.

Speaking of which, I know it's a busy time of year and all that but Amazon Logistics have been a strawberry floating mess for me lately. Order turned up a day late the other day with meant I basically wasted an entire day off waiting for it (got £5 credit after complaining to customer services). Ordered stuff the other day specifically for delivery on Wednesday since I'm off, but Amazon just ignored that and dispatched it for delivery on Tuesday which I missed because no one was in. Waited in for it today, tracked it on the app and it gets to one stop before mine before I get a notification saying it was damaged in transit, undeliverable and being returned for a full refund. Contacted customer services to get them to send out replacement items but they'd only do half of the delivery since the rest was from third party sellers and refused to give me back the £5 credit from the other day that I'd used on the order. I'd have to reorder the third party stuff again, but the price had gone up for both those items and they wouldn't reimburse me for that either :fp: The banana split was no help so got transferred to someone higher up who gave me the £5 credit back on my account plus more to cover the price difference of the other items so I could just order them myself and for delivery on Saturday before 1pm (not being sent by Logistics)

Under promise and over deliver or don't bother at all it seems, Amazon set themselves up for a fall. This is why I'd never pay for Prime.

I ordered a book from Amazon and the status says "Arriving today by 8pm", and has done since this morning. Cool, except... it appears that it hasn't been despatched yet.

It's gonna have to be one hell of a fast delivery to arrive to that schedule.

Yeah, Royal Mail start their parcel deliveries at 7am, dude. I guess that someone has to be first and get that wake-up call :) .

The status still says "Delivey today by 8pm"... and it still hasn't been marked as despatched. Amazon :fp: . I will be a bit frustrated if they have mucked things up because the book is now out of stock.

So, yeah, it wasn't delivered by 8pm. Not really surprising when it hadn't been dispatched. The status update now says "Your package was expected to be delivered today by 8PM." and gives a "Help with returns" link.

Now gotta contact Amazon to get some BS excuse and confirm that they can't deliver it because they'd don't have it in stock.

I just use the Amazon Locker outside my work whenever I can now. Don't have to deal with couriers and you have three days to pick it up.

My delivery was for Amazon Locker, too - at a supermarket near to me. The status has now changed to "Awaiting delivery date". I suspect that the book was never actually in stock and all that BS about "out for delivery" yesterday was just automated messaging.

I've got another order with Amazon that is allegedly "Arriving today by 8pm" even though the details show that it hasn't dispatched yet. The item launched yesterday and I pre-ordered it, but it is now showing as out of stock.

I've popped an email to them and am expecting the usual "sorry not in stock" response. No wonder they're rarely my first stop for gaming stuff nowdays.
