nope they didn't thank god, that disappointed me so much by the look and the reviews were very bad . Luckily yoshi's island was released on the wii u VC and it's still amazing.

Well I certainly got the snes vibe from that video, hopes are high!

On a side note is GBA YI on VC worth bothering with? How much is different from the snes version?

I picked it up and it's near identical and i'm loving it . The game looks good on the TV and also great on the gamepad . I had a look at wikipedia and it only sounds like there are some slight additions.if you are yearning for some yoshi again i would go for it.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island was ported by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development to the Game Boy Advance as Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 with added features.[22]

The game featured no changes to its basic formula besides voice samples from Yoshi's Story were used. There were two major additions, however: six new levels called "Secret levels" could be unlocked after beating the game,[23] and the Mario Bros. mini-game that appeared on all the Super Mario Advance series. If a player completes the game and gets 100 points on all 60 levels in the game, a secret ending will occur.[24]

It had me at "gobbling and tossing" friends.

The Yoshi's Island GBA port does have a limited viewing range on screen. It is kinda problematic when there's those lakitu buggers flying around.

Other than that, it is a good enough port. Considering it's the only way you play this game on VC currently, it is worth the cost easily.

Is the SNES original not available on the Wii shop? Or was the Wii Shop part of the online shutdown at the end of May?

You can still use the Wii Virtual Console, but Yoshi's Island never went up on the service.

It's almost as bad as the continued absence of Sunset Riders and Pocky & Rocky.

That's an excellent price for a proper Nintendo title - does anyone reckon these lower price points are a result of the Wii U's sales performance? Hopefully it doesn't reflect the length of the game.
