It can be absolutely anything, with the added bonus that no other word can be created to full it's void.

Funny answer

Litterally. Oh good grief how I hate that word. Listen to anyone speak now and you will hear that word at least once. The amount of people that use the word in place of a sentence starter. "Literally, oh my gawd, like, so we went out last night, literally right we went to this club and literally right I'm not even joking you it was so funny. Literally like, oh mah gawd". :dread:

Serious answer

The N word. It's abhorrent to me. I don't think I'd even be able to say it if I was paid all the money in the world. Just awful. I can say banana split all day and not even flinch, but that, no.

I am a culprit of saying literally...and I hate the fact I do, it's easy to pick up when you're around people that do.

What word would I eradicate?

Chelsea - Horrible girls name, horrible team, and I don't like flower shows.

Addicting.
e.g "This game is really addicting!"

You mean addictive. Now strawberry float off.

Funny answer

Crisps. Just to watch Ad7 struggle to explain what his colleagues were eating that annoys him so much.

Serious answer

The N word has already gone (although it is going to make rap and hip-hop songs far too short), so I will go with the P word. I know older people still refer to the P*** shop and think it is innocent, but they are idiots and should go strawberry float themselves.

So much. The word seems to have risen up from nowhere and it is becoming pretty common to hear. I cringe when I hear (or read) it.

Oh, man... I use that word quite a lot. It is pretty common to hear it around London. I use “pal” fairly frequently, too. I don’t use “bro” although it seems to be becoming popular.

It's the present-participle adjective form of the transitive verb addict.

Like how something boring can bore you into becoming bored, or something annoying can annoy you into becoming annoyed, something addicting can addict you into becoming addicted.

Of course, it's neater to shortcut to the pure adjective "addictive", and it certainly rolls off the tongue better, which is why we see that used much more in the UK, while borive and annoyive never even became words.

When your only defence here is really "that word you're using correctly is not what I say", you're on pretty shaky ground.

Mush

Pretty common in Cheltenham. Often used when addressing another person.

"Alright, mush?"

strawberry floating hate it.

Another one for Literally here. More so because most people use it incorrectly.

"I like literally broke my neck, innit mush!"

"Hollibobs". As in: "I'm off work for the next two weeks, I'm off to Barcelona for my hollibobs".

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
