For once we're in total agreement. So she bought Monopoly for £40, big deal it's no skin of you're noses. Honestly, some of you need to take your head out of your ass and take a good long look at yourself.

EDIT: Forget it, it's none of my business.

A price of £40 IS ridiculous for a Monopoly game that you can buy for £30 cheaper and play ti the way it's meant to be played.

However, if they had released it as a budget title on XBLA I would have snatched it right up.

:| By that logic, they could price Far Cry 2 and Fable 2 for 200 quid and anyone buying it because like the games are clearly not being robbed. There's got to be a fair price for the content you're getting. Value for money? Monopoly on the 360 is not worth it at 40 quid and as soon as the lady realises that, after she's played one round, she'll be annoyed.

I dunno. There was a version of Monopoly on the Amiga that was was apparently quite fun, even by yourself, according to the review in Amiga Power.

£40 is definately a tad overpriced for something that is best played in company, but hey, maybe she doesn't have the room or something.

It could be fun indeed, but I'm going to call into question Amiga Power's integrity on that review. I've played board games on the laptop, they're not fun in any multiplayer sort of way.

But 40 quid is definitely a steep price for Monopoly. Silly bint will just play it a bit and then trade it in to get a value of 7 quid to put towards a new game.

IIRC, it was the Rev Stuart Campbell who reviewed it, so you can take it up with him personally if you like ;)

Just to clarify, I have no issue with the existence of a Monopoly game on 360 or anyone who wants to play on it, but EA should not be charging £40 for it, you can get a PC version of Monopoly in GAME as part of their three games for £10 deal, why does the 360 version need to be so overpriced?

I've not checked, but I bet there'll be a free browser based version of Monopoly somewhere. I think I even got it as one of the free games on my phone, and that'll be pretty much the same experience as this £40 360 version.

Yeah, Magius. You really need to take your head out of your arse because you're the only one with it stuck in there still.

It's because the video game version is a good £30 more expensive than the original board game.

But, of course, you don't just get the original version on the disc. You get all the world versions, too. Which would end up costing a lot more than 40 quid. And aren't online.

I would have thought there would be a monopoly game on XBLA but not at retail.

Neither is this. That's right. It doesn't even have online play. Unbelievable.

I'm still going to buy it, though.

I loved the Master System version, and this will be a whole load slicker. And it has a mode that allows all players to be involved at the same time, instead of taking turns. Can't wait, tbh.

Now that's a lie.

A guy in Game yesterday took at least 5 minutes trying to get my Far Cry CE out of the glass cabinet. :fp:

I've got this mental image of some disabled retard, fumbling around with his keys, banging them against the cabinet, but not having the dexterity to find the keyhole.
