Found the Land of the Livid Dead pretty tough in Rayman Origins. Felt pretty good about beating it. Also, not strictly an achievement, but I finished DKCR with all Kong letters and special levels recently and I found that pretty tough in places.

1cc on Ikaruga is pretty decent, as well as finishing all of Bangai O HD. You guys have some major skills.

I got an Achievement for turning Gears of war on once.

Thats the only one that comes to mind.

The achievement I'm most proud of is probably the Gumball King achievement in Outrun Online Arcade. As I've got older I've realised I'm not particularly good at games butthere's something about Outrun that makes me want to master it. Completing 15 stages in the given time had me replaying this for days, a truly glorious game and my favourite on XBLA.

I spent strawberry floating ages getting that one in Halo Reach where you have to jump off a cliff and assassin kill someone before you hit the ground. Took soooo many tries.

Think it's still probably the Grand Pearl Pooh-bah one in Hexic HD.

The ones where you put the graft in could remind you of good times though. I enjoyed DR, but genocider was definately grindy (though I recall it being something you needed for a mega gun or whatever). Whereas like in Forza where I won every race and got every car, it took literally years to polish off, not non-stop obviously. And SC4, Dirt 1, Fable 2 & 3 collector quests etc; they took forever to get all the completionist stuff, but if you hella mad love it you want to experience it all, innit.

One I liked was from Project Gothem Racing where you had to get a delorean and drive it at 88MPH

The best one I got was probably on Halo Anniversary, was only 10 GS but hard as nails called "That Just Happened"

Complete the level “The Library” on Heroic difficulty or higher without dying.

PLAY | Final Fantasy VII Rebirth [92h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S2, HiJack S1, The Apprentice S18
RACE | Westonbirt Half (March), Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

The only achievement I've ever actually enjoyed. As a rule, I strawberry floating despise them, but that one was funny.

I think for the Genocider in DR I just drove around those strawberry floating tunnels in a van for three days.

God, that was strawberry floating dull.

I really liked the Gnome achievement in HL:2 Episode 2. Had carry the little bastard through the whole game, twice, because the first time I did it I had the audio commentary on and didn't realise that disabled achievements.

The car sections when you're being chased by the helicopter are especially annoying as the damn thing flies out of the vehicle at the slightest bump due to some physics glitches.

Most of Valve's games achievements are fantastic. I didnt get it (cos the level terrifies me) but not using a gun on 'Ravenholm' in Half-Life 2 was pretty awesome.

I got the gnome one in Left4Dead 2 but not Half-life2.

Getting the Special Licence in Gran Turismo 3. I had to switch the gearbox to manual to get those extra seconds. The Monaco track was a pain to do.
