Probably forgetting a few - it's been a great show so far. I'm not including Halo: Reach because there was only a tiny hint of a game in that trailer, but in terms of anticipation it's number one.

Halo Reach? Really?

It baffles me to see any games in there that had a tittle shown and nothing else.

Although on the other hand, maybe that's all that some people need to get excited enough and for it to rocket straight into their top ten.

Going from the games shown at the conferences (in no particular order):

Assassin's Creed 2 (I must be one of the only ones here who really liked the first one)
Modern Warfare 2 (If they fix the respawning AI!)

Cautiously optimistic about Forza, FFXIII, NSMBW and Metroid.


I don't have a PS3, so I've never played Uncharted, I'm not entirely sure what genre it is, even, but what I saw yesterday seemed to be some generic shooting and over-the-top action. Running through bullets? Very nice looking game, however.

I didn't catch GT5, but aren't Polyphony known for being quite sly in releasing slightly-CG videos in announcements? WRC license is a big draw, mind you.


Halo ODST doesn't excite me at all. I had hoped they would move the gunplay over to something more like CoD/Far Cry 2/Las Vegas or anything like that, where actually aiming the gun and using the iron sights/aimpoint is vital for accuracy. This is the thing that's always kept me from really getting into the Halo games. I just plain don't like the shooting (also: humans>Elites>Brutes as for what I find fun shooting)! The Spartans are giant hulks of men, granted, and wouldn't need to do this, but surely a normal guy like an ODST would? That was what I was hoping for from this game, but it doesn't look like I'm going to get it.

Hopefully Halo: Reach will be more like this, what with it's squad-based mechanics.

I thought you said Assasins Creed 2 was better than Uncharted 2?
