The Tekken thread inspired this with talk of fighting bears, tiny dinosaurs and cyborg ninja nutters to name just three of it various and strange cast.

First up we have:

Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)

This guy is creepy as f**k from his first appearance in the game ("Good girl, juuusssssst like thaaaaaat`) to the mind reading, telekinesis and mind control, and then the back story which somehow makes you feel sorry for him.

Secondly we have

Voldo (Soul Blade/Calibur)

What's not to like about a hissing, blind Italian S&M enthusiast with a penchant for stabbing people with sharp implements?

Finally (for now)

Faust (Guilty Gear X)

I could have chosen any of the cast of weird and wonderful characters from this brilliant and mad game but I think Faust is my favourite lunatic of them all, he's a serial killer doctor armed with a giant scalpel who wears a straight-jacket and a paper bag on his head, need I say more?

Over to you lot...

Fawkes is a wonderful super mutant. He accompanied me on much of my journey through the wasteland in Fallout 3, providing muscle and moral support. The adventure wouldn't have been the same without him and he's one of my all-time favourite gaming characters.

Fawkes  .

Birdo, the worlds first transgender videogame character.

Nintendo were certainly ahead of the curve there.

Minsc, anyone with that kind of attachment to a (miniature giant space) hamster must be considered a little odd.

Agree with Mantis, great boss battle. I’m going with Kafka from Final Fantasy. Reminds me very much of the Joker who wants to end the world

Bad Girl from No More Heroes

Image

Crazy gothlolita-dressing girl whose passtime is killing clones on a production line. What's not to love. Something I read once summed her up nicely - she represents the darkest side of Travis, and his potential future. Obsessed with killing, degenerate to the point of disgusting Travis - but while she's crazy she calmly points out how hypocritical he is. Also she has the best battle theme in the game.

Goro Majima

I'm not too familiar with this character yet but I loved him in Yakuza 1, for his unpredictability and his honourable streak despite his craziness. He also has a pretty good battle theme.

Have you played it before? If it's your first time through, I'm incredibly jealous. Remains one of my favourites of all time, and I can't wait for the PC re-release.

No, never played it. Knew of it and that it was particualrly oddball, so having just watched a trailer to refresh my memory I'm looking forward to it. :D

If Dig Dug can go for the windmill man, I can go for the Happy Mask Salesman.

I saw Brighton's Mr Libido yesterday, he was girating in a pair of green underpants outside the conference centre.
