I am sure we have had this thread before, but this is the brand new 10 year celebration of the idea.

My first post on GRcade was:

I dont post much over on GR and dont see that changing much. Nice to see so many of the GR regulars are over here though. :)

It really wasn't very accurate.

Yep, I remember that! It was a weekly mag that competed with the more historic (and, originally, more serious) Popular Computing Weekly.

A cool mag that delivered a great weekly update in the years before the web arrived. I remember Bart Simpson being on the cover of one of the issues. Good memories!

I set my credentials out early by talking about old stuff :fp: .

Morning Elon!

My first post is a bit cringe now

Remi Dong wrote:Hiiiii everybody!

Why is it that 'Dan' is always taken, inevitably by someone who never posts? Though I'm one to talk. Anyway, I was a member on the old GR, and I've gotten round to registering here at last, though I doubt I'll post as much (and I didn't post much anyway... I just got over the 3k post mark before they shut the place down)

So... hi. How is everyone?

All of that is still true. The Sultan being Tom Bradys cool new nickname of course.

Splendid. That certainly helps salve the pain of the ban hammer.

It was in reaction to the announcement of the first Ayaw. I’d been deliberately banned on GR in its death throes for posting Nun porn.

From the University thread. I ended up having to forge my college results to get into University as the college didn't post them until after the summer holidays!

No good at all, not even with the aid of recreational drugs. I bought a few of the camera applications and they're all pants, with the exception of EyeCreate which is free anyway.

There's nothing anywhere near as good as the EyeToy games on PS2. Considering how small those games are and how relatively easy it would be to port them and stick 'em up on PSN, I can't help but feel that Sony missed a trick there.

Kids love EyeCreate though.

Is this my first post?

Those kids are now ten years old!

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I'll be looking around for a bit and might even get some posting in.

And in six months I've almost hit 600 posts, and in a year I'll probably have my SONM post count beaten. Another six months after that and I'll have beaten my ONM post count of 1600 to make GRcade my most active forum.

From some thread about how the PS3 was apparently the superior media device, as an XBOT I obviously wasn't going to allow a claim like that to go unchallenged. :datass:

I completely forgot that Windows Media Center was a thing, seems like a whole different world now!

The first post on my account is this:
Welcome to phpBB3

This is an example post in your phpBB3 installation. Everything seems to be working. You may delete this post if you like and continue to set up your board. During the installation process your first category and your first forum are assigned an appropriate set of permissions for the predefined usergroups administrators, bots, global moderators, guests, registered users and registered COPPA users. If you also choose to delete your first category and your first forum, do not forget to assign permissions for all these usergroups for all new categories and forums you create. It is recommended to rename your first category and your first forum and copy permissions from these while creating new categories and forums. Have fun!

However the first post I wrote was in the Staff Room:
testing

My first post on the public forum though was a copy of my old Xbox Live Marketplace Thread from GamesRadar :)
