University library accounts are the gooseberry fool for uploading masses of stuff for whatever reason. Like youtube/vimeo will pretty much go up in 2 or 3 minutes for an hd video. Also have one at work after I needed one to use a single terminal for something.

Upload is crap. Uping the download all the time is great but it needs to balance with up.

Meanwhile here in Canada, I'm going to downgrade to a 15Mbs line with 400GB/Month bandwidth limit because my current 60Mbs line with 320 GB/Month is too expensive. :x

That puzzles me that US/Canadian internet providers are so expensive and restrictive with providing Internet.

And then they try to block Google Fiber and utility companies offering internet from being set up as well. They're deathly afraid of reasonably priced competition.

For a country that prides on free enterprise thinking, they sure like to consolidate the markets in each state to one or two hyper expensive choices :fp:

The only thing that scares US internet companies more than reasonably priced competition is the idea of Net Neutrality.
I love that they also refused to be regulated as if they were utility companies (Because if they were the FCC could enforce direct regulation against them), but then turned around and demand they get the same benefits as utility companies because they provide an essential service.

It's because they have a monopoly because the countries are too big for smaller companies to provide it. Canada also has AWFUL cell phone prices because there's like 3 major companies and they're all in bed with each other.

Pretty happy with that. Good ping and good upload.
