Here are some general guidelines (not rules) for present buying:
- Generally, a kind minimum combination of present and card could total around £5. However much you spend is up to your generosity.
- While buying lube and a packet of condoms might seem hil-arious to you, your gift recipient might be of an age where parents are still around, and interested in what they get. So, please, try and avoid that option and things similar to it.
- If you’re unsure as to when to send your present, as soon as possible would probably be best. Last minute posting times can be found here if you need them.
- It’s Secret Santa, yanno. Please don’t reveal who you’re buying for to anyone – including the person you’re buying for. That means signing your card – should you buy one – anonymously. The list of who bought for who will be revealed on Boxing Day in the Advent Calendar topic.
- Similarly, please don’t trade who you get for your Secret Santa if, for example, you don’t know that person very well. It will make things very confusing for tnman.
- If you end up not receiving a present by a late date in December, PM tnman and he will send your Secret Santa a gentle nudge to remind them about it.
- And, on that note, tnman is just the organiser. He can’t be held responsible for any problems you might experience during this.
