What is in store for you this weekend?

For me:

Friday Evening (Now) :
Done the house work, going to get food and play video games.

Saturday :
Nothing planned but I need to get a hair cut.

Sunday :
Going rock climbing.

Nothing planned until Sunday where I'll have the family over for some slowcooker chilli and BBQ if the weather is decent.

Friday Evening (Now) :
Waiting for dinner to cook, maybe play some Zelda

Saturday :
Probably Zelda

Sunday :
Head of to Warwick Castle then a hotel in Stoke for a few days at Alton Towers

Tonight, I'm kinda tired so probably sleep soon.

Saturday, apparently we have a parkrun now so I'm gonna pop to that in the morning. I've been harassed to go down town at night but I think I might just be boring and have some wine at home with some games of street fighter instead.

Friday Evening (Now): Chilling playing Dark Souls and I'll probably have some Talisker whiskey my parents brought me back from Skye.

Saturday: Might go out for a walk up the hills if the weather is nice.

Sunday: Domino's in the evening

Quiet weekend this week really since I was out last Saturday for a friend's birthday and in Glasgow Sunday night for LCD Soundsystem.

Friday: Finished early so had a 12 mile bike with a pub stop.
Saturday: Organised bike ride through Evans cycles (23 miles off road) then maybe a BBQ for the evening.
Sunday: Either rest for the day or maybe go for a walk with the wife to be.

nothing this evening
sat: test ride and hopefully buy a bike, work on a personal statement
sun: family lunch/bbq if weather is good, more work on the personal statement

Friday Evening (Now) :
Just back from a week away with the wife's family in West Wales so mainly unpacking, washing and recovering!

Saturday :
Sport and dance clubs with the kids in the morning, then got some garden/housework to do in the afternoon as we're sorting some stuff out ready to sell our house. Domino's for food. :datass:

Sunday :
Chilling out and getting kids ready to go back to school after half term.

I'm working this weekend, Day shift tomorrow.

Im going to see Star Wars Solo tonight.

and I'm going to a harry Potter fancy dress party tomorrow.......

Sunday day some recovery from the booze and then back on the night shift.

My life? Well I never imagined seeing myself at the age of 26 sat in the south atlantic dressed as a harry potter character that's for sure.

Seeing The Specials and the Rolling Stones tomorrow. :toot:

Nothing else worth reporting

Friday - Played Final Fantasy 7 to completion, did some washing.
Saturday - Hopefully get stuck into some of the programming recommendations people made to me in the Work Thread, get some shopping in, play guitar, practice editing footage with Vegas.
Sunday - Probably the same as Saturday.

Friday - arrived in London. Dicked about in Stratford and Shoreditch. Met up with some friends for dinner.

Saturday - All Points East presents The National. I will be alcohol.

Sunday - recover. Lunch with another friend. Fly home at 7pm. Sleep.

I am in the process of becoming disillusioned. Spent eleven years training for a role I can’t even get interviews for, have no savings, all my friends seem to be moving down south for work. Not cool.

I saw the national in Edinburgh last year right at the front while I had a good (blood)buzz - tipsy but not drunk - on.

Genuinely one of the best evenings of my life, you're in for a good time. All I did was grin and scream along.

Friday: I meant to cook a mean chilli, but had a nap instead. Got woken before my time by my upstairs neighbours throwing a party (the swine), so I had to scrap that. Nap was good tho.

Saturday: Pokemon cards! Small local tournament in the format I hate tomorrow, but I'm heading down a few hours early to practice for UK Regionals with some pals, and will hang out afterwards to do the same. So that will at least be good.

Sunday: Lowkey day! Might head into some of the restaurants I like visiting in the city and see the comic book film or the Star Wars. I'm not sure tho, might just hang out and watch DVDs instead.

Fri: Shopping, laundromat, eating, some videogame time if any time remains.

Sat: Get an estimate for car water pump repair/replace, maybe more shopping.

Sun: Sweet strawberry float all.

I missed out on that gig after booking a holiday - hoping for a similar set list to it because it looked and sounded absolutely immense.

Just finished a nightshift so heading home for a nap until Banjo arrives back in the country for a couple beers.

Tomorrow I'm working a double for $$$.

Worked out from my payslip that losing weekend pay didn't make any real difference. Except I'm getting the paid the same as someone who doesn't work weekends or nights. Tossers.

Am I frustrated and disillusioned? Yes I suppose. I work in a job which on the face of it sounds interesting and rewarding but in reality is the opposite, in part due to the fact that the Met Office couldn't give a gooseberry fool about my wellbeing and I'm sick of my managers. But it's relatively secure and pays well for the local area so I can't complain there. Yeah I wish I was doing something else, that I had joined one of the big four after college or maybe done astrophysics at university but I don't dwell on things like that too much as I still have the opportunity to do those things if I really wanted to. Still hard to shake that feeling that I've somehow wasted my life so far though.

Been in Weymouth all week. On our way home now where I've to put together my Diamondback BMX which my father dropped off yesterday. If the weather is good back home I'll take it for a spin.

Sunday. Chill out, probably go for another spin on the bike, play some video games.

Disillusioned and frustrated? Sometimes, but that's life.
