Contrary to the general opinion here, though, i quite like the warthog from the Halo series. The mongoose is for when you want to die, but the warthog is good. Especially in the endings to Halo and Halo 3.

The warthog is fine, once you get the feel for how it works, its perfect. Another vote for EDF 2017, was playing it earlier, couldn't even make the copter take off lol. Terrible.

Not the worst per se - but the Harvester in GTA:SA should have been so much better.

Same goes for the Tractor - only its hitching duties save it.

I loved that bit.

Yeah, so did I. It was quite a visually-stunning set piece. And the fact that the girl did all the aiming for you meant you could just enjoy the scenery, albeit whilst getting shot at.

Those Lylat Wars aping bits were the only thing that made that game tolerable!

Except they were utter pants. No degree of difficulty, uninspiring levels and enemies (can you remember anything about the arwing stages apart from the ship?) and way too uninvolving. Think back to what a Lylat Wars stage asked you to do and then think how dull and vapid these parts were in SA.

Which speaks volumes about the rest of the game, in my opinion.

However, these sections were simply a linking motif, but it was at least nice to get an idea of what Lylat Wars might have been like with GC power behind it. Even if they weren't great in and of themselves.
