I'll be picking up Mario Odyssey on Friday, I just wanted to make sure I had the console to avoid disappointment.

I went with the grey version which was the last in GAME's stock and they, apparently, only had two neon ones in storage too.

Great to see another DS/3DS only series move over to Switch.

Well my SD card arrived and along with it the dream of a digital only future. Nintendo want £60 for Zelda:BOTW. Sixty. strawberry floating. Snoops. Also, 50 rips for Mario Kart.

I swear they weren't always this expensive, I meant to pick up an SD card as soon as I got my Switch and checked the prices a couple of times.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I hate to say it, Hime, but those are the prices that have been in the Store since launch. As with downloadable games on other formats, new “AAA” pricing in digital storefronts can be crazy.

You can get download codes slightly cheaper from CDkeys (Zelda £56, Splatoon 2 £46 and Kart £46 - but that last one has gone out of stock at the mo) and an Odyssey download is £42 at Amazon.

But, yeah, unfortunately, going download-only is never a cheap option.

Has anyone had any problems loading the videos in the eShop? When I go to play a video it's fine for 15 seconds and then runs into buffering problems. Had this for 2 weeks now (didn't have it before) and it's starting to get annoying.

Nintendo’s digital stores are notorious for that, Drum; I’ve experienced video slowdown in the Wii, 3DS, Wii U and Switch shops. Oddly enough, though, I’d thought that the Switch had improved the performance in that area quite a bit lately. Next time I’m logged in I’ll give it a go.

Impulse bought Rayman. It is a pretty good switch game. Blast a level or two. Get mad. Turn off.

Thanks to those that have added me to their friends lists. Good to see what people are spending substantial amounts of time playing. I so wish it had full calender play time tracking like the 3ds does though.... I love being able to see exactly what I was playing at what points in time.
