It certainly doesn't compare to Gran Turismo 5, the game with the best lighting effects ever.

Damn right.

Can't say those Metro shots look anything special...the obvious good points being resolution and AA...but as looks go, it's not that great at all. People held the Witcher 2 screens in high regard too but if that's what you guys think looks good, then OK.

I remember seeing outdoor shots of Metro. Was that the previous game or is there any outdoor stuff in this one?

I'm Peter Crisp and I can tell that Metro 2033 looks STUNNING, more so in-game. Really fits the mood of game well.

It looks horrific. Likewise Forza.

PC Supremacy.

It's a testament to how deluded gamers are that this game is seen as a Zelda clone when it's better in just about every conceivable way.

Sadly there's no AA options. Probably have to force it.

ME2

Bit annoying having to run it through Origin through Steam to get screenshots with Steam.

Looks like you've finished it but if you go back you can clear up the jaggies with the FXAA injector, google it.

It might not look like it in the screenshots, but it's made a big difference to when it's running. (Started a new game as a Soldier).

Cheers, Rog. Had it sitting on my desktop and didn't even think to try it.

You've got the settings all wrong.

Turn the grain off for a start, makes the AA more precise. Then you get hot gooseberry fool like this:

If you want the ultimate experience, get the HD texture pack.

I fiddled with the grain when I first played through the game and I couldn't decide whether I wanted it on or off, so went with the default.

I've switched it off now. Not better, just different:

I'm going to try turning up the FXAA Injector and see where that gets me. I looked up the HD texture pack but apparently it significantly lengthens the boot time of the game and to be frank it takes long enough as it is to get playing. Also the comparison shots didn't really look that different.

Wish they'd do a sale on ME2 DLC.

Turn the FXAA smoothing quality to max and have the edge detection around the midpoint. Turn all the other injector crap off.

And you can yarr all of the dlc and use an entitlement unlocker. I did it because Ive already bought it on the 360 and forget buying it again on PC with bioware funpoints. I can get you a link if you want.

Cheers brah, but I restrict my pirating to things I already own, purchases I'm not sure about and to see how things run.

I'm sure it'll be on sale at some point. Not in a huge rush.

The DLC wont be in a sale. Its only available direct from bioware with their proprietary funpoints.

I know, but I thought they reduce it every now and then.

Oh well, never mind. Not that bothered.

Does that work now? I couldn't make SWTOR work with the Steam overlay
