I see GAME are trying the steam weekend deal thing with a "Download Weekend Special", with Civ 4 (£7.99), Human Revolution(£7.99), Empire Total War(£9.99) and San Andreas(£4.99) :?

Good try, especially Deus Ex, but if it's through their downloader I think I'd rather smash my face through a window than give them money and try to use it, however I think it may be too little too late...

I'm not buying anything from EA unless it's on steam, or an online game like a 2142 sequel.

Because they generally make really bad games or because of the SOPA stuff?

A combination of all really.

I would have bought Mirrors Edge on the steam sale, but I keep missing it, and now I don't even know if it's on steam any more. I won't buy it on Origin.

There's one thing I can say about Valve, and it's that their attention and respect for their customers has always been consistent. From day 1, when I was skeptical of Steam, they didn't give a strawberry float what I thought, they continued to try to earn the respect of their customers and win us over.

EA? They will DRM the gooseberry fool out of all their games within a heartbeat, they will strip a game down to the bare bones just to fleece you some dlc. I'm realy not interested in supporting that.

They genuinely make bad games and even when they do make good games, like Mirrors Edge, I will only want to buy them on steam. I simply do not trust EA, and if I start buying into their gooseberry fool, they will inevitably force me to pirate their games. Things like limiting activations (Mass Effect, I bought this twice EA you stupid twats, once on console, and once on PC, how dare you many times I can install this game, I'm not wasting my time or money to get you to renew my activations, I'll stick to piracy thank you).

Mirror's Edge is still available on Steam. It was a daily deal a few months ago but as far as I know it hasn't been reduced since.

Apparently it's a fairly mediocre modern manshoot. Avoid if you're tired of those games.

I am so utterly desensitised to PC bargains that I honestly can't be bothered to buy that, despite the fact that it's a great price for the First and Second Encounters alone.

Sound the alarms! Humble Bundle 5 may be coming sooner that an you think!

Once again, the Steam registry has spilled the beans, with entries for Humble Indie Bundle 5 and Humble Indie Bundle 5 Bonus being made. No news on what games are in there, but the links here should spill the beans.

I'm going to guess Bastion will be the big name game, and that will be when I pick it up.

And lo, the early warning system has proven accurate, and a new Humble Bundle has landed. With a twist.

Android support.

Yes, this bundle is of games with Android support on top of the usual Windows/Mac/Linux/Steam combo. It's smaller as a result. The games this time are:
EDGE
Osmos
Anomaly: Warzone Earth
World of Goo (beat average)

Usual stuff applies: no DRM, need to pay $1 to get the Steam key, optional charity support. All that good stuff.
