Great match between myself and Fishfingers, including me giving him a little tip at the end of the video :)

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I'm not great at SSF4, but I'm happy with how this fight turned out.

Severance: Blade of Darkness (2000) - HD - Opening and Tutorial

This is the opening and tutorial of Spanish developer Rebel Act's classic hack'n'slash, Severance: Blade of Darkness (2000). It took me a while to get the game running 'properly' on Win7, including preserving the game's true 4:3 aspect ratio without image 'stretching' on my 16:9 monitor. My thanks go to the many sources on the internet offering advice on how to get the game running happily on a Win7 machine.

Right i've decided to make a video series just as a project.
These videos will be deconstructions from particular favorite video games of mine and I'm staring with Bioshock. I've made a VERY rough cut of around the first third of the video which can be viewed below.
I've still to properly work on the script and I need to fix volume levels, my microphone etc.
The finished product should run in at 85 minutes or so.

I do need a bit of advice and criticism for the video that I'm making though.
Things I should concentrate more on. What you liked or didn't like etc.

It's the first time I've ever done anything like this and right now I'm just fumbling my way round Sony Vegas to edit the interviews, still images, videos and music together. Hell I haven't even come up with a name for the series or anything like that. I know it's a big ask for you to take 30 odd minutes of your time for the criticism, but it would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks.

I should have posted a reply a while ago (trying to save this thread and get the community involved and all that). That was strawberry floating awesome! There's something about fighting games that make them so brilliantly watchable.

Assuming that everyone is using Fraps, what are the best settings to pick? Bearing in mind that file sizes can end up huge, how do you strike the balance between quality and convenience? Upload speeds are the main problem for me so anything large can take a long time to send to youtube.

Do you guys re-encode the video with some compression software to help?

I just record 30fps full hd with sound, the latest version lets you stitch videos together, so no more 4gb chunks. I tend to get 2-3 mins per 4gb. Then just use avidemux to re-encode into avi.

See thats my issue. Obviously if I go for a full 1080p video of any real length we're looking at something potenially well over a hundred gig. Does the avidemux re-encoding to an avi save you a substantial amount of space?
