Probably because you're using your 35mm f/1.8.
-Use The Useless Kit Lens (it's got VR).
-Stop down the aperture to somewhere in the region of f/5.6-f/8.
-Use a short focal length.
Boom. Everything in focus (so no need for the camera to AF) and no camera shake.
Sound will still be rubbish so either just rip it all out as Jam did or record your own seperately. A phone in a pocket or something will be infinitely better than the camera's mic.

) video that Knoyleo posted...it's a revelation. Might have to film something in January, so this should come in handy, cheers.
