really intrigued me back in the day, the plan was that 3DO would become a ubiquitous format just like CD or DVD but for gaming. It had support from alot of big electronics brands like Panasonic, GoldStar (LG), Sanyo and Samsung. As with the Saturn, it was too expensive and was completely ignored, which was a shame because it had next-gen versions of all of EA's big franchieses a year before the PS and Saturn came out.
The Atari Jaguar
was also intriguing as it was the dominant brand in the 70s and early 80s, I really believed back in the day that Jaguar would compete with the MegaDrive and SNES, and later with the PlayStation and Saturn. Sadly developers completely ignored it.
As for the Amiga CD-32
, all I remember is playing a game in Comet with this guy in it...
Price wasn't the only reson.
