I just found out Bananas in Pajamas is from Australia not the UK. WTF my life has been a lie.

Dyker Heights is the best place to go to for a Christmassy New York, the lengths some of the residents there go to for Christmas decorations is insane.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Astoria a couple nights. The lady who owned the place was from Venezuela and was mad on Christmas. Tea towels, shower curtain, everything was Santa. It was brilliant, and the neighbourhood was incredibly festive too. Not quite Dyker heights, but worth the walk about.

Had to have two pairs, though; a set for distance and a set for reading. I wasn't keen on the idea of varifocals.

Woke up in the middle of the night feeling sick and have done since then, no actual vomiting (yet) just the lingerng feeling of impending spewage.

So ontop of the champagne question last night my friend also revealed that he never figured out I was taking the piss 15 years ago and has spent all this time thinking I was telling the truth.

15 years ago we were driving somewhere and passed a Little Chef, so I told him that in Russia they have their own version of Little Chef called Gorba Chef and that it's mascot/logo was a Little Chef guy with a birthmark on the side of his head. Turns out he completely believed me and never thought to check up on this fact until it randomly came up last night and he was legitimately shocked to find out it wasn't true.

I decided to try that Domino’s cheeseburger Frankenstein abomination today and I hate to say I enjoyed it. I wouldn’t want a whole pizza with it on (see also their BBQ sauce pizza) but 3 or so slices alternated with other stuff was fine.

Bought a couple of blu rays off eBay and they arrived today...with the security tags attached. Not suspicious at all...

But these aren't any old security tags though, oh no, they lock the discs to the case.
