Yep, I suspect you're right there.

As I’ve always said, Switzerland was my pick to win all along.

Last year, we only got points from Malta and Ukraine. Malta aren't in the final this time, and Ukraine's goodwill towards the UK has clearly expired.

Shame for Olly but we keep sending these poor vocal performances and don't seem to learn that it never works at Eurovision.

Israel got 10 from the public vote in Ireland too, 12 points went to Croatia.

But the jury vote is apparently the problem.

One of my cousins openly saying he didn't watch it but voted for Israel anyway. Wonder how many people did that (and Ukraine).

I know Andrew Neil was amplifying it.

What confounds this is that the song is by no means terrible, and the singer went to the Gal Gadot Hot Israeli Women Academy, so I don't think it went up by more than about five places than it should've been.

Despite the UK’s dismal score, Finland did even worse, so I’m not the only one who didn’t think the joke was funny.

It's 4th out of 10 of the UKs 10 most recent performances.

Ah, so those who traditionally complain about it not being a music contest and super political are the ones to blame.

Shocked I tell thee.

We deserved better than 0pts in the public vote, Olly should have been at least mid table by the end.

Still, we did better than last year so it could have been worse.

I didn't watch the whole contest so I can't really compare them yet, but I caught up and watched Olly's performance and it's just absolutely strawberry floating terrible IMO. His singing voice is as flat as anything. At first glance, getting 0 public votes doesn't seem particularly harsh to me.

I'll watch some of the others later on iPlayer.
