The Education Secretary is set to issue guidance on Thursday following criticism that some pupils were being taught that there were 72 genders.
Schools will not be told to hold lessons on gender ideology, which states that people can be born the wrong sex and that they can change their identity to the opposite sex or other categories such as non-binary.
But if they do hold lessons on the issue, they must make it clear that it is a contested belief.
In other words, they must say that the "gender-critical" belief that there are just two biological sexes is also valid.

This is so strawberry floating weird, my daughter understands everything to do with Gender Dysphoria and Identity and has done since she was 9 years of age all because of her school, she called Bambie Thug and the Swiss winner 'they' and corrected me a few times when I said he wrongly. If she was told 'it's a contested belief' that would undermine the entire point of the lesson.
It's horrible. They are presenting bigotry as valid position to children.
They just want to wipe out Transpeople.
Never mind that varied gender-identities have existed for as long as humans have, they want to wipe Transpeople out of existence.
Start by making it next to impossible for Trans-Kids to get access to the medical care they need. So that when they do eventually get to an age where they can get HRT (Or whatever other gender-affirming treatments they need/want) they've already gone through the wrong puberty. That's going to put a lot of young people off the idea of coming out, or starting transition.
Which again is part of the plan.
The younger you get onto a medical transition the easier it is to "pass" further down the line. Which is why puberty blockers for Trans-kids are so important. Not having to go through that puberty means they can have one that's more in line with their actual gender. Transwomen especially benefit from this and it can make all the difference in them being able to pass (Not that passing is the be all, end all of being trans). Which is what the transphobes don't want. They want every trans-woman (They don't care about trans-men) to be clearly clockable.
They're going after all the avenues of treatment in the UK as well. The Cass review is basically the Transphobe bible at this point. The waiting lists to be seen by an NHS GIC are in the years. Pretty sure Glasgow is 5+ years before you can even get an appointment. This might not be entirely by design, but it's been this way for a good while and there's no improvement to be seen.
So the alternatives are going private, which is very expensive. There's also online, private GPs who basically do what they can to fill the gap and provide appointments and prescriptions. These are also expensive.
Or you can go DIY and import the medications you need.
None of this is illegal. Yet they're already starting to see news articles appearing about "loopholes" and "dangerous online drug sellers", despite all of these being legal, regulated paths to treatment.
NHS GPs are also getting new guidance I believe which tells them to stop accepting shared care agreements (I.e you get the appointment and prescription privately, but your GP deals with re-filling the prescription on the NHS and doing blood tests). Not to mention GPs are often very gatekeepy and I've heard many stories about them insisting on some ridiculous condition before they will refer patients to their local GIC.
It's the slow erosion of safe, legal routes to medical transition in the UK, with the idea that somehow Transpeople will somehow just vanish.
All done under the traditional "Won't someone think of the children" bollocks.
Boils my piss.
