But Mr Kirby, a barber, said: "We find the clothes from that time period both comfortable and flattering.

"It means you're not just buying clothes for the season and throwing them away.

"We like to try and repair clothes, give it a new life and it looks just as good as 80 years ago."

Do they not realise it is possible to buy and keep clothes that last in this day and age without having to cosplay rationing.

Surely at his age, the 40s lifestyle is lying on a French beach with your intestines hanging out.

I’ve got clothes that are older than him.

When that photo was taken, she was 33.

My front door annoyed me this morning, I opened it to answer a delivery and when I went to close it, it wouldn't close. I found out the white piece of plastic at the bottom of the door had slipped out, bent when I'd opened the door, and now wouldn't let me close it.

In a big panic, I've got my mini hacksaw out and taken off the bit of plastic, as it wouldn't go back into the slot, and cut my finger in the process, which decided to piss blood everywhere. Normally I wouldn't be able to be on my knees for that long either because of my bad leg, so now my knee is aching too.

I'm annoyed at myself because if I hadn't have panicked, I would have been able to get help to get it done. No one in this block is a problem, so leaving the door open till I'd got someone to help me sort it out wouldn't have been an issue.

Never good when the panic arrives. No rational thinking allowed when it does.

The way every strawberry floater spins gooseberry fool all the time in Instagram/Facebook/tik tok videos now.

Making a video about cooking? Better strawberry floating spin all the ingredients and utensils before you do anything with them!

DIY video? Hope you like spinning hammers and screwdrivers! :toot:

Showing off your art skills? Better flip my paintbrushes and pencils in my hands like I'm Boris strawberry floating Grishenko baby!!!!

It's all about retaining attention. Short form videos like those on Instagram and Tik Tok are always full of this, because people are usually only watching while half playing attention, so there constantly needs to be something stimulating happening, or they'll swipe to the next video. It's only a couple of steps up from the "sludge content" that's everywhere, where a video plays with unrelated footage of GTA, Subway Surfers, or even Family Guy, playing alongside.

I'm already anxious trying to think about how to protect my son from this :slol: would really prefer him to have an attention span that isn't outlived by a firework.

The easy way of doing that is to keep him off TikTok or anywhere this type of content pervades.
