I wouldn't give home address, agree to meet somewhere to complete the exchange. I've been aware of cases where they arrange purchase, turn up and steal the car!

Steal it? This must the 28th time Ad7 has tried to get rid of it so I feel justified in saying he'd struggle to give that heap away.

Second time actually, I only had it for sale once then needed it for work so didn't bother listing it again.

:simper:

This person sounds both thick and dodgey so I just told them the south east of the country and recommended they meet me somewhere to see it in person. Sounds really scammy.

Ill be honest here mate, that car is only going to attract thick people. Smart people have money and will buy a nice one.

Stupid people dont have a lot of money (because they spend it all on sovereigns) so a cheaper car like yours will be right in their targets. Especially with the mad hektik spoiler which will impress everybody else on the council estate.

Your best hope is a nice but dim character who works in a factory.

Do it up in the WRC Castrol colours and say all of the bad points are 'pattina' from 'the tour'. Jack up the price 500%, sell in a day.

Honestly, for all his :dread: I see more typos from Ad7 than anyone else.

I like the car. I don't want it, obvs, but it's a shame it's attracting chavs, because it's a future classic. Just not a current one.

The person has asked me to "send money request of £2300 to my PayPal account. I will send the money and choose a good time for the pickup after payment has been received "

strawberry float right off

I went to a long journey last week and my car managed to do 53.3mpg on economical drive. It's not far off from what they figured and I was very pleased with the result I've managed, but this week I'm sure it will go down to the mid 40's or even low 40's.

It's nice to know that my car can be very economical at time when I want to. :datass:

Fair enough. It saddens me that people might actually fall for that sort of thing. :(

Edit: @Ad, obviously.

Just go as fast as you can for the first bit and then coast the rest of the way.
