Thing I can't stand about that Sarah is the delivery of the lines, monotone like she's reading from an autocue.

I noticed that on her chat show she did (that was gooseberry fool) but when she is live its a lot different. She has a very different TV set than she does when live.

Anyone remember smack the pony? Was on when I was at college and it was mediocre at best yet because it was all women in it the birds were quoting it all day and saying how amazing it was.

Aye she's alright, pretty fit too (aside from that repellent accent :dread: :shifty: )

But yes 99.9% of female comics are atrociously unfunny.

I like Victoria Coren, but that may be because I want to do sex on her.

Some of the women from SNL are funny, particularly Kristen Wiig.

Sorry forgot to add that Joan Rivers can be very funny at times. She doesn't hold back and some of her stuff is very close to the bone.

The role of the female is to add to a conversation. To make a whitty comment here, have a little joke about someone there. When a woman is part of a large conversation she can be very fun to be around and make you properly laugh. When she gets up on stage and trys to make a joke about her not getting any cock or her parents being black, or her being middle aged, or how pathetic her husband is, she's not gonna be funny.

Who's the one with the hand puppet? I think she made her TV début on the Royal Variety a few years back.

Basically what I'm trying to say is. I love the friendship of women and they can truly make me laugh, but they just aren't funny on a stage. Yes and complain about my grammar and spelling because that's what you always do.... it really adds to conversation. I'm really hungover =[

Edit: Women in panel shows are fine, they can (I hate to use this word) banter just as well as the guys and are better looking to boot. A panel show should always have a couple of women.

Edit part 2 : University didn't teach me any spelling and grammar.....I was already this linguistically proficient.

Vicky is much funnier and wittier than any female British comedian.

Very rare, there is only one here that is okayish. They all seem to be vulgar, that is the only way they know how to be funny.

Sarah Milican is not funny, I know a couple of people who think she is. I don't really get on with them people and tend to avoid them. Im not sure if the two things are related.

Jo Brand can be quite funny when she's hosted HIGNFY.

I don't have any 'go to' female comedians though.

Jo Brand hasn't changed her style in forever. A style that was never funny.
