Never, ever refer to orange juice as OJ ever again.

Don't take this the wrong way but aren't you on a diet?

There are 130 calories in a pint of whole (blue) milk, 100 in a pint of semi-skimmed (green), and 70 in a pint of skimmed (red).

Given you're going to be drinking milk, you may as well make it a bit nicer on yourself and use green or blue, IMO. You really don't cut that many calories by going for the "fat-free" option - and you lose some of the nutrient content, too.

I guess there's an argument to be made that if you're dieting you should only be drinking water. It's fair enough, but seems a shame though, as (whole or semi-skimmed) milk is quite nutritious. I'd try and cut out sweets and chocolate and maybe lower portion sizes before cutting out things like milk and fruit juice, personally.

For reference, a pint of pure orange juice also has 130 calories, the same as a pint of whole milk.

Low fat diets are far less effective than low carb diets.

Eating large amounts of carbohydrates actually reduces the body's ability to use its stored fat to the point where an obese person can starve to death despite having huge reserves of energy stored as fat.

Most low fat versions of things like yoghurts actually contain far more sugar than the full fat version so aren't as 'healthy' as you'd expect.

A pint of whole milk has 320 calories off the top of my head, but I'm certain that's right.

Honestly, drinking pints of whole milk is an absolute sure fire way to pile on weight. Not that I know the science behind it or can be strawberry floated checking but the anecdotal evidence is huge. Although having said that common sense dictates that on top of your normal diet, 640 calories extra a day with all the fat contained within whole milk is going to up your mass.
