A KUNG Fu fight between a hungry bear and a fisherman has been voted the funniest television advert of all time.

The commercial for John West tinned salmon, made in 2000, beat off hilarious offerings from beer giants to mobile phone firms.

The winning ad has been seen on the internet by 300million people, according to the industry “bible” Campaign.

Runner-up was the 1996 “boxing challenge” ad for Blackcurrant Tango.

Third was 1989’s Hamlet ad with Gregor Fisher trying in vain to adjust his appalling combover in a photo booth.

Finally he just lights a cigar and relaxes.

It is a great advert...but funniest?

Hmm... I think it is a good advert and it even made me smile when it returned again after it was off air for a bit.

I don't think it's the funniest advert though. I know I've seen funnier, though can't recall many right now! Just the Tango Blackcurrant advert, which was brilliant!

It's funny, that John West ad, but not one of the funniest things ever. Adverts aren't really the same sort of thing as tv programmes, can't use the same techniques to be funny. Doesn't really work.
