It still should have been far better than it actually was though.

I honestly can't remember the original in enough detail to say whether or not Spielberg's War of the Worlds was better, but I would agree with this - Spielberg's film was nowhere near as good as it could or should have been.

I'd like to see a new version of War of the Worlds, so that it can be done properly.

What the actual strawberry float am I reading. :dread:

Maybe he meant Charles Manson?

I love the Marilyn Manson covers of Sweet Dreams, Tainted Love and Personal Jesus but I wouldn't say they're better than the original versions (Soft Cell's version of Tainted Love is itself a cover version but it's definitely the best version of the song).

Nowt wrong with an occasional bit of Marilyn Manson's unique blend of glam gothic pop metal silliness..

I'd love to see a version that takes place in the late Victorian era, as originally intended, and no silly heroic action sequences either.

I just want a truly decent alien invasion movie, there's been a major lack of them in recent years.

Same goes for top quality disaster movies.

I found it hugely watchable. Robocop remake bored the pants off me before it got interesting. (Does it get better?)

I like The Godfather Part II, but I prefer the original because it's a more concentrated film. (Though strangely my favourite bits of Part II are the very bits which diverge from the "main" portion of the story.)

I also really like the Lord of the Rings trilogy as a whole, yet I found each subsequent film to be better than the previous one.

Netflix's Daredevil and Punisher are better than the older movie versions.

I couldn't agree more.

On a slightly more obscure note, the Queens of the Stone Age version of Never Say Never (not to be be confused with the Justin Beiber song of the same title, which I can safely assume is a pile of shite) is vastly superior to the original 80's version by Romeo Void (no, me neither).

I like to convince people that is the original from the 60s and Oasis is a cover.

2012 is comfortably one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Someone in my previous job lent me the DVD as a joke. Said it was amazing

Easily one of the worst movies ever.
