10 most overrated games of 2009

What a strange article - am I hallucinating, or did he say he loved demon's soul before slating it? Surely nobody is calling MW2 single player deep or insightful. It's ridiculous, adrenalin-surging mayhem, I loved it. Killzone 2 on the other hand - I'd go beyond calling it average, I think it may be the worst game I played all year, looks great but who cares when it plays like such a dog? I'm too old to care about ps3 / 360 rivalries by the way, I'm just stunned anyone could have found that game fun, what a strawberry floating slog.

This is why I don't visit/read games websites (aside from this one)

I agree with alot but MW2 is awesome so strawberry float yourself.

Be serious for a second, I'll never understand that. I was a die hard Nintendo fan back then but Nintendo stabbed Sony in the back and then all my friends who were Nintendo fans hated Sony :lol:

I like the bit where he suggests a videogame is overrated because its storyline isn't deep.

Take that pretty much every videogame released ever.

New Super Mario Bros Wii should be at number one and Killzone 2 shouldn't be on the list as you can't overrate Game Of The Year.

Killzone 2 had the best AI of the year with squads hunting you down and providing a rock hard challenge unlike the dross single player of MW2 where goldfish like AI just repeats until IW let you carry on.

Also the sublime tactical multiplayer of KZ2 dwarfs the rampant charging around don't give a strawberry float about anything but your K/D ratio farce of MW2.

I enjoyed some games on that list more than others but they are all (The ones I have played anyway) very good.

This is one of the things I hate about video game culture.

KZ2 was immense, if you're finding it a slog its because you're not playing it right, charging around like a loon like MW2 doesn't work as the game has decent AI.

I spy four PS3 exclusives on that list, smacks of an agenda to me.

I was going to reply to a bunch of comments then I remembered that lists like this turn people into rampaging dick holes so what's the point.

Take it you haven't played MW2 on Veteran?

I quite like Killzone 2 but GOTY? Really? I played the multiplayer for a couple of months and it was no better than MW2 for team work. It might be your game of the year and that's all that should matter as far as your concerned but I think you will find the most would disagree with that choice.

Seriously, FEAR 2 had the best AI this year.
