The PS4 YouTube app is excellent, but failing that, the PS4 Twitch app is fair good too.

I'll be watching on mine with the missus, hoping the connection remains stable.

Great start time tonight (unlike Sony) though I'm disappointed 4K HDR (at 60fps!) has apparently been turned off for anyone watching on YT. Seems very petulant of MS and straight out of the Apple playbook of 'well if you're not watching on a Mac...'

You'd think they'd want as many people to see the games as they're supposed to be as much as possible.

500 dollars would probably mean a price point of around 450 pounds here in the UK? Too high for me personally but, considering the tech, pretty understandable.

Looking at Amazon...

The Nintendo Switch is $420 (£329) but retails in the UK at £279.
PS4 Pro is $400 (£313) and retails in the UK at £338.
Xbox One S at $281 (£220) & retails in the UK as low as £199.

Brexit makes this difficult, but you know what...Microsoft could do £400 if they wanted to. £450 seems about the maximum actually. Parity with the PS3 seems possible (£425). Doesn't seem like we'd be looking at a direct trade off to £500.

Changed my vote to £500 (I think it'll be £499 if its $499).

Xbox Two would seem to strongly insinuate a fully fledged next-gen machine, no? As does the price.

A £500 console with no exclusives? I mean...well, good luck with that.

I am not sure why people are crying over the price. MS from day one have said this is going to be a premium product. If you want a cheap Xbox then go for a Slim. This for the hardcore gamers that want 4K and want their games to run better.

It's not like MS have just ditched the original Xbox one and forcing you to buy this.

The price is just a one time cost. How much was the XBO launch, £429? £400-£500 is not a great deal of difference. If you want one but don't want to pay the entry price, just wait a while, the price will come down like it does for all consoles.

Yes?

Could be to Xbox One what the N3DSXL was to the 3DS - an entirely upgraded system with exclusives unable to run on the old model.

Haven't they already said that there won't be any Scorpio-exclusive games?

Then what, pray tell, is the point of the thing?

Seems like a vast waste of resources just to cater to the minority of owners who have a 4K HDR TV.

I think so, but then I'm not sure how VR factors in to that, because presumably any games made for a VR headset would have problems running on a standard Xbox One.

Fact is though if you want a gaming machine to output native 4K games (games rendered at 4K) at the moment you are talking about spending close to if not more than £1000 on a PC. With that kind of comparison £500 seems more reasonable.

It shouldn't really be a surprise seeing as we know what kind of hardware is in this thing, I think NickSCFC made a comment about them making loads of money on the thing per unit at this price...I wouldn't bet on it.
