Do you have any certain gaming purchases for 2022?
So far my list is tiny but it's

Will buy
Steam Deck 512gb

If decent after renting it
Rainbow Six Extraction.

Possible if released
Xbox Elite controller 3.

Next year could be pretty cheap as I have Ultimate, PS+ and boomerang paid for at least 18 months and I'll finally be getting back into the wonderful world of steam sales.

Only have one certainty gaming wise next year and that's the new Saints Row. I might pick up Elden Ring, haven't made up my mind as yet.

If it does release in 2022, you buy it for me. If it doesn't release in 2022, I'll buy it for you when it does release. Steam keys. We got ourselves a wager?

Definite:
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Advance Wars
Breath of the Wild II

Maybe:
Disco Elysium - provided all the issues get patched in time for release

Usual caveat applies, i.e. provided reviews don't stink the joint out

Always good to look to the future,

Definite purchases:

Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild sequel (obviously if it comes out in 2022)
Hollow Knight Silksong (it has to come out in 2022 surely?)
Forza Motorsport 8, hopefully this is a 2022 release and I’ll be buying the top tier upgrade at launch and accessing the base game through Game Pass

Maybe purchases:

F1 2022, a series I’ve waned with over the years, it’s a solid racing title but I always love it to start and feel like it could be so much better
WRC 11, need to get some more value for money out of my extravagant WRC 9 purchase before I rush into 11

Edit, should I be counting any Game Pass games in here? Mentioned Forza as I’ll be buying some part of it but stuff like Redfall I’ll just be playing the game on Game Pass.

Steam Deck

Not sure what games are due for release next year. Gemini mentioned Saints Row, so probably that if it is out next year and appears under £30 at some point.

My excitement for Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga has gone off a little, I dare say it’ll be great when it releases but we’ve seen and heard so little about it I’ve kind of forgotten about it somewhat.

Can't be 100% sure, but on the assumption that these may release in 2022:

Project 007
Breath of the Wild sequel
Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Maybe...

Gotham Knights
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Stray
Little Devil Inside

Is Project 007 down for next year as well? That’ll be one I’m waiting for reviews on but I’m cautiously optimistic about that, can’t be much worse (from what I read) than the last Bond game which was 007 Legends I believe? Just hope in this Project 007 game, we’ll get a female version of Bond :datass:

It's almost certain that I'll also buy some 2021 games in 2022.

No idea about any other 2022 releases I'm physically able to play.
