A lot of this if you buy drugs or a pirate film then your funding a massive criminal cartel is just scare mongering. Let's face it an add that said " don't fund piracy you'll get Nigel a few pints down the pub and then allow him to return home with fish and chips and some flowers for his wife florance" wouldn't really scare many people off buying pirate film's or such.

It depends what you're buying.

If you're buying weed then chances are it's from a person growing their own and not funding a criminal empire.
I doubt Nigel is growing his own Cocaine and Heroin though.

Preezy specified weed, which is why that’s being used as an example.

I’d agree cocaine and heroin would be coming from some really nasty places. But again, there’s only one way to stop it.

I reckon a genetically modified plant virus that specifically targets Coca, Cannabis and Opium poppy plants would be a good way to handle it.

That would be pretty silly when canabis or at least some of its chemical components have been shown to stop fits in children who don't react to usual epilepsy medications, and all the other medical possibilities.

That wasn't a serious post.

Besides, I thought I'd edited the word 'cannabis' out of that post as I realised there are certain medical uses for it.

Yeah plenty but not so much anymore. I almost never get drunk now either. My general health is so poor at the moment Id rather not mess around with it.

I am experimenting with cbd based pain relief currently with mixed results.

Can't say I have. The opportunity's never presented itself, and I don't care enough to seek any out myself.

No, not because I have anything against alcohol or people drinking it but it’s just because I don’t like the taste

Have you tried drinking anything besides pure ethanol? Most people drink it in the form of beers and wines which do a lot to disguise the taste.

Yep. Not proud of it, but tried a few things and didn’t really enjoy any of it, which is lucky as I have an addictive personality and I didn’t get addicted to any of them.

Beer and Wine is a poor example since they both can have very strong tastes (I'm not a big beer or wine fan either), if you really want to taste something that doesn't taste like alcohol you should try cider. Cider doesn't taste super strong.

There are plenty of beers that don't taste strong of alcohol or of "beer". There are entire styles with fruit beers.

Cider if it is proper cider does have strong flavour, its only the piss cider like Rekorderlig, kopperberg etc that doesn't and that gooseberry fool really really shouldn't be allowed to be called cider.

Even the stronger ciders I find don't taste that overbearing. I find beer has a really strange taste to it at first that I only get used to after drinking a few of them.

That or drink whisky. Whisky doesn't taste so bad if it's a good one.

Yes, but not for a long time and nothing major. I mostly stopped when I had a very bad reaction to some weed at uni. I get the urge to have it every now and then, but not too fussed.

I have tried just about all forms of alcohol and I don’t really like any, the only time I would ever drink is when someone offers me an expensive drink like a champagne, whiskey or a cognac and I would only have it for that reason

You mean you haven't enjoyed the pleasures of a can of Tesco Value larger (as in the drink larger) drunk out of an old wellington boot?

Nope, never seen the appeal but I also dont understand why most of them are illegal. Regulate it, tax, let people get their jollies if they want.
