3ds micro SD card no longer working

Turned on new 3ds XL yesterday, now getting cannot display the software on the SD card message, so I swapped over cards with my other 3ds, the first 3ds still came up with same error message with 2nd card in but the problem card appeared to work in other 3ds but just couldn't access anything as I guess it's tied to my account.

Any ideas? with the eshop closed have I lost everything, not sure how to resolve this.

Have you put it in a PC and got a PC to check the card and do any repairs/corrections on it, that would be my first bit of advice.

The good news is you can still redownload already purchased games & DLC. So just replace the micro sd card and use it in the old system.

No not yet will try on laptop if I can find a micro SD card reader to use.
