PostXbox Live 60GB Starter Kit - £46.99 from GAME online

Add the voucher code NW11GMEHW and it's £46.99. :)

An Xbox Live 'starter pack' has been revealed, designed to give 360 Arcade owners one-stop entry into the world of online gaming.

The pack includes a 60GB hard drive, a headset, and Ethernet cable and a three-month gold subscription to Xbox Live.

This will come for $99 in US according to online retailers, and will be out on November 4.

Although no European price has been announced, a 79 Euro (around £64) price has been hinted, along with an unconfirmed November 21 release.

Not the cheapest of proposals (you could buy the equivalent gear for a PC for MUCH less), but it'll be handy for those who want to start using their 360 properly. Shame it doesn't come with the silver disc tray cover, too - the final touch to bling an Arcade console up to full Premium pack status.

We're currently awaiting confirmation of a UK release from MS.

I don't want the headset, three month live and ethernet cable. How much?

Yeah, I'd be interested in upgrading my 20GB to a 60GB when the game-install feature is available, so I'd rather buy one without all the trash. Still, not a terrible price. Less than they used to charge for the 20GB on its own.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I'd probably be better off buying an entire new 60GB 360.

I think I'll go for this if the price is right. I need a bigger hard drive, that's for sure, and I'm not about to argue with 3 months of LIVE.

How would I transfer what's on my 20GB HDD to the 60?

I'm guessing a memory unit for your game saves. Then just download again all your demos, videos and game content.

I think I will pick one of these up.

Microsoft has confirmed the new Xbox 360 hard drive bundle announced for the US last week is coming to Europe too.

According to the Gamerscore blog, it'll cost GBP 59.99 / EUR 79.99. For that you get a 60GB hard drive, a three-month Gold subscription to Xbox Live, a headset and an ethernet cable.

The bundle will be out in the UK on 19th November and in the rest of Europe from the 21st.

Regardless of what we all think of the Wii, I honestly believe one of the reasons its successful is because it includes everything you need in the box as standard. I truly wish MS would take the same approach as I think even £50 is too expensive for this.

It doesn't even include a transfer cable.

It's a ok if you're Acrada->60GB. But 20GB->60GB? No good sailor.

£50?

I bought 320gb for my PS3 for that price :fp:

I need 120gb because I have loads of Xbox 360 games to install. 60gb is still not big enough for me :(
