I think the best way to do this is contestants have to roll the dice in the same room as the other person. This does involve a lot of travel but I think you can all agree it would be worth it for the piece of mind. We may also need an impartial observer to make sure they don't both cheat though and maybe another person to provide the dice to prevent weighted dice being used.

4 forumites should do the trick to ensure a fair result.

Why are we only using a 6 sided dice anyway?

The outcome is binary, you either win or lose, so it should be a coin-flip. Using a 6-sided die is unnecessary.
