I can't remember if I actually completed it in one sitting, but I did more or less play it for a day non stop when I got it (this was Sacred Stones). It does get a mention, but not in too much detail.

I really enjoyed recording this one, could have talked about GBA for many more hours to be honest

I guess there wasn't much interest in GBA here

Next one will be a normal episode like the lost episode. The one after that will be a 25th anniversary episode of a certain franchise.

Finally finished listening to it, and I really enjoyed it. Brought back loads of great memories. Will it be going up on itunes at any point?

I really want to repurchase Boktai now, even though I hated the sequel. And I'm tempted to break out the thing over the weekend, and just have a retro game weekend. It also reminded me that I've never finished Fusion and has killed any desire I had to play The Lost Age.

I was also a little surprised that any of you (mainly Suzz) never mentioned Shining Force on the GBA. And I'll now need to get either Final Fantasy V or VI.

Edit- And did any of you try the third Fire Emblem on the GBA? It was a sequel to the first, and there was a brilliant translation which was pretty much perfect (it was only officially released in Japan).

I keep on meaning to give these a listen but always forget :(

Is there any way of downloading the second season? I started listening to the GBA one there and it sounded really good (launch day with Castlevania and F Zero btw) but fancied sticking it on my phone for a listen on my walk to work tomorrow.

Believe me, there were loads more games I would have loved to talk about. Literally hours more content we could have added on GBA.

I didn't even know there was a third Fire Emblem

You can right click and save as or do you mean via iTunes? I need to work out how to do that :shifty:

I should still have the patched rom if you're interested. :shifty:

You can do the right click, save as etc. but that would mean that it would be placed onto the ipod as music instead of a podcast.

God this is so gooseberry fool. Cringeworthy. Nowhere near as good as Radio Radar.

Just joking. I've not listened yet.

Yeah, I tried that and ended up with a file that was only about a minute long. I'll have been doing something really daft (WHAT A SURPRISE), I'll check it out again tomorrow.

Is it a minute long on your computer, or is it only on the ipod?

Do you use Firefox? I download it through the download helper add on and have never had any problems with transferring to the ipod.

Lots to talk about this week, who is free to record over the weekend? I'm free tonight or Sunday, Monday at a push.

Thanks guys, I've managed to get it working now. I hadn't even thought about just downloading it straight to my phone (insert facepalm here). Click and save on the link just through the stock browser worked fine.

Enjoyed listening to it this morning, great to hear all the Metroid love :)

Off to listen to some more now!

I really enjoyed that, guys. Well done.

It brought back lots of memories for me and it was great to hear games like Mario Golf and Astro Boy getting talked about again.

I seem to have quite a blank with mine as I can mind buying it on day one, picking up Tony Hawks a bit later, loving Golden Sun on it and then not much else.

I took it with me when I went travelling though and I think that's when I properly fell in love with it: I mind spending hours on overnight bus journeys playing FFT:A and Pokemon: Fire Red. The Megaman Zero games were dead good too, from what I remember.

I ended up picking up loads of games from various game shops dotted about (playing Boktai in a country with constant sunshine certainly helped!) and amassed quite a collection before the end of my journey. Unfortunately, most of them got lost when I moved into my flat after getting home and I've never seen them again :(

Looking forward to catching up on the other episodes.
