Ok folks...

I used to have a version of MAME which had a GUI....

All the current versions listed on http://mamedev.org/release.html seem to be source code or command line interfaces :?

Am I missing something, where's the shiny front end?

Alternatively, there are many MANY front ends for MAME as seperate programs. Just google mame front end.
